    Jaja pressure sensitivity stylus

    One of the kind?
    Looks promising, what you think?:>

The JaJa Stylus by HEX3 is now Integrated with Procreate App for iPad. Here is a very short video to show it in action. visit jajastylus.com for more info
JaJa uses a very high resolution robotics sensor that is sensitive to 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and almost infinitely customisable by the user. The tip does not move, it senses pressure. JaJa can also be customised - the upper and lower thresholds can be calibrated easily by the user.
JaJa does NOT use Bluetooth so no pairing is required. JaJa is a true pressure sensing stylus rather than a movement sensing stylus. Some other styluses use a movement sensor that tracks the movement of the tip - claiming 256 levels of movement with just 1mm of travel... Is your hand able to move to 256 different places within one millimeter? That is the width of the eye of a needle!

  2. Looks like it needs to be supported by your favourite applications, which means that, for now, if ever, it is not going to work with, say, Sketchbook Pro. I'm not holding my breath.

Still waiting for mine to ship even though they billed me! Not a good start! I was going to do a review on it. It's now Mid August and their site (originally said end of July) that these were going to ship at the beginning of August.

Kinda want one, but going to wait until it actually ships and people start posting their reviews.

Looking at the video, it looks like it doesn't have palm rejection...

Palm rejection would be part of the SDK least that's what I understood since it works via sound.

When the stylus is turned on in Procreate, it does not respond to my hand or my acase stylus. Just FYI since I tested it even though I am still waiting for the jaja.

I'm just rather annoyed since I had ordered the product, got billed and was told these would be shipping at the beginning of August. It at first said end of July.

It still says these will ship at the beginning of August.

What did sales say? "It's an exciting time" and will ship in a "few short weeks" I dunno, a week doesn't become short it's still a week. It's less exciting for customers who paid for a product only to see the deadline blown many times, lack of updates and just giving honest times when things will ship out.

This is very basic customer service. Hey, the product may work great despite the increase in price from when the Kickstarter project came out. " Normal retail is going to be $69 - so act fast!" I'm eager to give a review over the thing....but really no one should forget how bad this is being handled.

I understand things don't go the way you want, but keep your customers in the loop this is their money. They don't care how much money you poured into the project, anymore than one cares how much it costs for MacDonalds to run on a regular operational basis to pay its employess and rent. Customers want their product, and if you can't deliver get on the ball and be up front and give better ETAs.

Pressure looks correct compared to horrible Jot's levels from reviews.

I'm sure there's a whole group of people who get off on the fetish of an Asian girl unboxing stuff, but I'd really like to know how the stylus works.

Says she got one of the developer packages.

It would be nice of they were upfront with customers since their order page didn't state this instead of constantly digging through Google for any information.

Priced at $89.99, orders of the JaJa are now being taken at http://HEX3.co/products/JaJa. Commercial availability is slated for September 2012.

So, it sounds like the thing might finally be shipping next week.

I've been waiting for some hands on reports from actual users before I bother with this thing. Not that it matters I guess since I'm still an iPad 1 user - but if this thing is good I will definitely be getting an iPad 4 to use this with. Otherwise, I'll be looking at the next gen Note tablet.

Looks promising. It'd be nice if you could use this with PS or Painter, could be a cheaper alternative to the cintiq.

    I seriously doubt it.
