Sketch from 2010
Attachment 1630618
Some pages from my recent sketchbook -
I'd love to talk about each page in detail, but that'd take way too much time and no one would read it anyway, so I'll cut this as short as possible:
In most of the following pages you are going to see a sheetload of faces. Occasionally I like to look at models for inspiration (be it their bonestructure, eyes, lips, etc.) and build my own little Frankenstein's monster.
Another thing I like to do, is looking up other people's works and trying to shamelessly draw and paint their creations in my style (more or less successfully). I usually do this as a kick-start to get my artsy mood on.
If I recall correctly there are four headstudies of Robert Knoke's portraits in there and a grand total of ONE Yoji Shinkawa tribute/hommage thing drawing.
I do, however, have no excuse for those confusing monstrosities of organic (or maybe not so organic) nature. Those are all my own head-salad and they just keep evolving.
Hope ya like! =)

Wow this is maybe the best start to a SB that I've ever seen, do you mind me asking the stuff with the heavy ink in the last post, is it brush pen, or marker or what? Please keep posting, this is awesome.

you are awesooooooooome =D![]()
my god, can't wait for more updates from you
you inspire me to draw more faces
Waaa, thank you so much for the kind words, guys!
Heya, I used a brushpen from PENTEL for the first three or four inky pages, before it ran out; the following pages I used a fine paintbrush from da vinci with liquid Indian ink form Winsor and Newton.
I usually do a rough sketch with ballpointpen, then add brushstrokes with ink and lastly a black fineliner for additional linework, to ultimately get alternating thickness in brushwork.
Two little monster designs done in PS; done rather quickly.
Another monster concept
