I really like the line work and angularity of that unicorn it has a great deal of depth to it. And the owl is really sweet too. good work!

Update, yaaay~
-Thanks again for all the comments!
@WeavingWorlds Thank you very much! C: It's roughly...60% imagination, 40% ref. I used to despise the very thought of 'copying' photographs and relied entirely on simplified skeletons/shapes to construct figures (with the help of books such as The Art of Animal Drawing). Today I mainly use refs to improve the accuracy of full paintings (fur patterns/other details of different animal species and also poses when neccessary) and when doing studies. The majority of drawings/sketches are still done free-handed though.
-and yes, I am from germany.
@erysium Hi there -Happy Belated Birthday!Thank you very much~ I'll try to work more with textures but tbh I really prefer to paint things by hand (if possible). You're completely right about the values though, the lighter ones/highlights always go missing somewhere in the process :| -and with the owl too, thanks for pointing it out!
I hope to go...but unless I get a full scholarship it won't be possible and -let's be honest- how likely is that?
@Yasmin Oh hi! 8D Thank you very much~ Painting a human would be a really good idea since it's something I couldn't do to save my life. Honestly, there's never been anything as monstrous as the 2 portraits I did last year >>
Sketchezzz~ Fur studies (which honestly helped a lot with the paintings in work rn), misc animals and some lions

I got a website!
You have really beautiful, lively line quality- I wish you could figure out a way to keep some of that in your paintings (which are also nice). For your paintings, you may want to try taking the painting and desaturating it to really verify the form of the objects you are painting. It may help also if you have some clay or mannequins/actionfigures to try and get the perspective and angle right via basic shapes. If you are struggling with humans, keep doing gestures and studies. Practice makes better, as always. Loving those animal sketches and the unicorn and owl drawings are awesome, I love the etching-quality they have.
I think your drawings have a lot of appeal, and your colors are very interesting, although maybe the saturation is a bit uniform.
Your animal drawings are really great, especially the unicorn (I'm not the first to comment on that) - I'd take that one to a finish, it's powerful.
Among the 4 mushroom paintings I'd have to pick the red mushroom as my favorite, probably because of the color palette and the shape of the mushroom. The lighting on the second one is nice.
I think some more dramatic lighting would do a lot for your drawings, especially if looking at the drawings from the first page.
Keep going![]()
As you are reading this, I am trying to become more awesome:
