@ Januz : Thank you very much! Really appreciate it.
@ yogeshj25 : Thank you. I used a normal hb pencil for this and most of my sketches. Not really worried about what pencil i use, maybe i should!![]()
@ eclip-se : You're the best!![]()
Its been ages since i drew anything & i mean anything! Thanks to a client that dragged a 3 weeks job for almost 3 months! Feels so good to sketch again. Here are some studies for now.
A quick study before bed, about 20 mins & my first ever still life sketch!
One of two pinups i was asked to do for Riot Shell. Should color this too.
Here's a crop of a wip study. Thought i'd practice a bit before starting on some serious creature concepts again.

this sb is insane dude, thnx for sharing these they re really inspirational.
Dude.
Incredibly inspirational! I almost can't grasp how you manage to put so many little details in a single piece? May I ask how you plan these out? Do you get your ideas roughly in pencil first, and add details as you go along, or do you have a vision of exactly what you want before the pen hits the paper? Your rendering skills are insane, all packaged in great compositions and designs. All-round fantastic stuff, I am in awe. Best of luck for your graphic novel project, I look forward to seeing it
Cedric
Details, details, details. Your creations are so complete in their execution, it's astounding. That symmetrical piece on page 1 blows my mind: did you freehand the whole thing or use a light table to build the second half? Either way it's killer. You should feel very proud of your skills, they show just how much you've invested in them
Your organic forms are absolutely nailed, but that gun/arm on the pinup has me dying to see what you'd do with a hard-edged topic like robots/mechs or cyberpunk material![]()
incredible pencils..Im in love wow![]()
Holy mother of pearl can you pose a character. Fantastic work!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow - Don`t wanna sound like a broken record: but your linework is amazing sir!
This is one of the best sketchbooks I`ve seen for a while. Very inspiring. I`m going to greate Mashach Folder on my harddrive - looking forward for new sketches, drawings and paintings. :-)
keep it up!
greetings

@ dimi & Guan: Thank you so very much friends!
@ ceddo: Thank you friend. I am kinda OCD with details!I usually let it flow and get down to details only once i'm happy with compo, perspective, anatomy etc. I loosely sketch ideas as they churn in my head & keep them for later use . With the details i would look at reference here and there but i am loose with it too. All of the sketches you see here are done from imagination without the use of any reference whatsoever. Having said that, don't be worried if you look up reference, it absolutely ok! Really appreciate you taking time to comment & thank you for the best wishes.
@ Morkai: Thank you! I did freehand the entire image in pencil before i inked it using a gateway tracing sheet to make sure it was symmetrical. Hope that helps! Ah, now i feel challenged to do a hard-edged robots/mechs/cyberpunk concept!Actually i do have a couple of mech sketches lying around. About time i breathe life into them! Thank you once again for taking the time to comment.
@ ninaren: Thank you very much friend!
@ Zesiul: lol. Thanks for reminding me!I simply possess my characters every time i draw them! Really appreciate your comment.
@ Klaustrophi: lol. You sound very encouraging actually! Thank you buddy. I am humbled that you would have a folder under my name. More work soon. Btw my real name is Jayaraj Paul!
@ eclip-se: Buddy you are very inspiring!
More work soon friends! Love you all!![]()

did you use special paper at the start to get that aged look or is it a digital filter?
Combined with the awesome creatures it look terrific.

hi dude
congrats on your great pencils ( i thought you were working on an american comics studio)
you last update is pretty nice: but his top of the head seems chopped off
i suggest you do some basic exercices again (coz the rendering and and detailing can makes you unaware of basic issues)
good luck
Zou: lol. Thank you very much for pointing that out! Wasn't really thinking about the hair and head as much as getting the features right. This was a quick sketch before bed, so i was half a sleep too...will surely get that fixed!
PS- I am working for a couple of US publishers. Nothing out yet!![]()

That portrait is really good! If your first one (just before bed) is this good, think of how awesome they’ll be in no time at all! You got a good eye for proportions and the rendering is sweet!
Keep posting, can’t wait to see more of your great stuff!![]()
Love that portrait, the skin texture is amazing. The nose seems a little seems a little off to the left though.
Have you thought about coloring your crazy pencil drawings in Photoshop?
Keep posting!
