DSG 1650: Creature • THIS BEAST'S TEETH HAVE ALL BECOME AN ARRAY OF HORNY TUSK

    .

[ Perhaps it uses the tusk array to scrape, carry, spear, unearth or somehow otherwise procure food... ]

[ ...Maybe the primary use of these extensions is to challenge a rival or impress a mate... ]

[ ...It could be that there are defensive reasons for the transition, or it might just be totally unfathomable why in the world this animals teeth have diverged from their original purpose in such a crazy way. ]

[ Beyond that, it will be possibly now be relying on some other means to masticate. ]

No walrus dares challenge the highly-intelligent Walrus King as ruler of the species. (Having Arnold's "Conan The Barbarian" playing while doing this was a definite influence )

    Tusker

    Sort of a rhino/elephant/bison...thing...

The idea is that a creature would be bred for its incredible ability to provide for precious ivory. So like elephants, this critter gets its tusks removed here and there.

Here's my sketch a day. took me a few hours to make this since this is the first time im trying to paint directly on the computer (i usually sketch with pencils first then scan them then paint on the computer keeping the grain and texture).

Decided to go for a 'cute' approach.
