More thumbnails and a sketch done today, I've kind of lost my ways with illustration-type pieces. Those that actually take longer than a day or two. Damnit! So I'm trying to get back to that since I enjoy it so much.

Doing the wild forest for my snow white project, this is a rough sketch of some sort of sanctum that you would find there I suppose! A last man standing piece I'm making, since it's the hot thing to do right now and I can't help myself. Love Dan Luvisi's stuff and have been for some years now. It's the cyberpunky samurai named Alister. And a sketch done while having a nice headache, I think it kinda shows.

Really digging these latest illustrations. For the Knight one I feel like you could make the fire in the background and the green from his sword be more dominant light sources for the character over all. Really like the Helicopter, the colors seem spot on for a desert storm feel, keep outside the comfort zone!

Pundt Thanks man, yeah haven't really thought about that. Also haven't figured out lightsources to that degree on armors yet. But I'll get there. I like it too, felt nice doing something outside the comfort zone that didn't turn out horrible haha! Thanks!

Here's some croquis using aquarelle and some pencil stuff! The model paintings are done fairly quickly. It's actually quite relieving letting the colors float together and loosing control D:

Heya Flaskpost! Tack så mycket, tycker de är riktigt roliga att göra, man blir mindre resultat-inriktad! Det är rätt svårt att säga. Tror att i nuläget så siktar jag mest på att vara konceptare inhouse någonstans. Det hade varit otroligt kul. Dock så är jag inte rädd för illustration, skulptering och allt det andra estetiska! Går på Folk högskola i nuläget så man rör ju sig i de tankarna också. Tänkte söka till TGA till hösten om du hört talas om den utbildningen.

Designing Snow White now. This is by far the hardest of them all. I'm not really feeling her as a character. I supposed that I'm in a way too influenced by the archetype I'm used to seeing. But here are some brave efforts of me trying to figure this out.

I've also spent the week with a livemodel painting. I did pretty well considering that I had migraine two days.

Okay so I tried setting a timer on 50 minutes to stay focused on one study. It worked! Did this study to observe more scenical lightning.

Started sketching on one of the thumbnails that I posted before. Trying to use more layers and correct things along the way and make it suit what I want to achieve. Sometimes I forget that and just polish the turd. Don't do that! If he reminds you of something, it's probably true.
