You paint faces very well, and have some long legged figures too.

heyriel-glad you like it!
wholewheatkeyboard-thanks and yeah i walways make the legs too long or too short :b
another 2 character sketch and another portrait. yeah i know i always do a lot of work on the face in my character sketch but i cant move one till the face is readable. the portrait was about 8 hours, not what i wanted but very good practice!

some environment studies....i want to learn how to do these so bad -_-
![]()
awesome work ;___; im having an art block now lol what's your strategy to overcome it?![]()
hey nice enviros thought ...but about your characters anatomy is sometimes off, dunno maybe directions of torso-head-legs could be more believable...
Those environments are a definite improvement! Keep going with those because you seem to be picking it up quickly. The latest portrait is great as well.![]()
Dude great environmental studies. the girl painting is awesome too, i love how light is controlled.
you have some cool stuff in here; especially the environment things are impressive!
Sadly I cant see the pictures from the latest stuff
kaikaisushi-i dont usually post with out images but you are in dire need! what i do when i have a block is studies! and if im just totally tired of studies ill look at photography, usually more abstract stuff or nature ,animals etc. try and not look at other peoples work because it might influence your own work too much. hope that helps!
hucumkedi-i know what you mean, they do seem a little awkward to me too, ill try and fix it!
sophiew-thanks i will!
yemi775-thanks!
twelvex-thanks man, and i just re posted it!
another quick character

Cool updates man! Some interesting designs.
Are you going to finish the others or just their faces? Haha
Anyways, on this last one, I like some of the things that are going on here but I do question the mechanics of the outfit. It seems hard to maneuver in, a bit on the cumbersome side. Also, the proportions are off (the arms are super long).
All the best man,
Cheers!
nice sb
i like your design sense
#425 looks very interesting
keep up the good work!!
awesome work![]()
mr.pryminista-they were sketches and i do a lot more work on the face cuz its an important part to the character for me and i like to see it developed before trying to finish a character, i do plan on finishing some of them though. and in the end they are game/movie characters so i dont always apply physics to all my designs, or it cold be some new light weight material?
xcarbon-thanks!
kaikaisushi-thanks man!
some pencil sketches

hey man great characters as always your sketches are feeling abit more solid now, but they figures feel a bit stiff, work with more dynamic poses or poses with purpose, and about landscapes, and i believe some perspective practice is in order if you want to make your landscapes work, try to work a small grid before sketching the forms for now start thinking in terms of foreground middleground and background theese 3 elemnts must always be there so the viewer can feel depth in the image, also think about the composition to make the image stronger, i think you flesh the details too quickly work with your sketch until you feel its strong enough, even if it is from reference you are not bound to the reference, you can move things remove them change them however you want its YOUR sketch and its your job to make a boring place look more alive, keep up the good stuff kevin im loving it!
Work hard! cheers
my sketchbook! Drawing like a maniac!!

Destroy your weaknesses! theres nothing more to it! stop bitching grab that pencil and sketch Away!
Really tight stuff as usual, sometimes though I get the "paste" on head feel , as you drew the body and head separate. Although in post #443 it looks fine.

Keep at it!

You have a lot of interesting ideas!. I have echo what the others are saying about the finish of heads being to different from the body's
but anyway keep it up!
Liking your head paintings looots! Great work man =)
Great stuff going on in here. Your portrait studies are excellent and I can definitely see improvement in your character designs, keep pushing man!
