man, really like the sketchbook stuff. That could be because I have a sketchbook fetish, but its also due to the fact that you have really good control over the gradations in your traditional stuff. Keep up the good work

hey man I love your pencil sketches, they are really tight. And I also enjoy your paintings. If I could crit I guess your stuff from imagination isn't on the same level as the referenced/from life ones, so work more towards pushing your art from imagination further good job! and thanks for dropping by my sb!

What Viki Oh said. Your referenced work is great, especially the moleskin stuff. Can't wait to see how it carries over to your original artwork.

Might want to keep an eye on your proportions as well. The second drawing in your most recent post looks a little odd to me. At first I thought his arms were too long, but it might be that his head is too big. And in the last drawing, her bottom half looks too thin too me, like she should have a little more 'padding' since her upper body is a little more filled out.

You've got some really interesting concepts, but I think I love your rendering the most.
If you have the time, please stop by my sketchbook, Chock Full o'Nuts.
I would appreciate any advice or critiques.

You've got some SICK stuff going on in here man!

I love your hatching style. Plus, your characters/gesture work is really fluid and lively. Love it.

I really don't have any critique to give...the only thing I might suggest would be to really push some of your imagination stuff to a polished/finished end? I'd be interested to see your rendering skills.

    Peace!

really great pencils, kevin, and interesting characters. You have a very clean and precise way of working. Maybe you can try to connect your characters more to a certain setting that you set for yourself, just for practise, you know?

Hey thanks for passing by my sketchbook! ^^

Good work you've got here! I can see you are quite good rendering and shading figures! With a neat grasp of volume. I also checked some earlier posts and man! I really enjoy your way of drawing eyes and overall face expressions

I like your pencil better than your digital sketching. your shading is on point but i think you could use some darker colors, especially in post #55.

dkhutcheson-thanks and yeah me and proportions aren't friends :b if its a sketch i focus more on getting through it quickly rather than if its accurate which i will try and change, and i purposely wanted the girl look odd so those proportions were thought out
syle-thanks and i will be trying to do some finished pieces soon!
    marcsampson-thansk and will do!
    kiba-thanks and i wont stop :b
    blackdelhpin-will do!

jaik-thanks and always working on that!
    joe777k7-thanks and no prob!
gamersgene-thanks and will try to work on the contrast!

so here i got a quick study, more about the colors than anatomy (edit-not sure why the picture isnt showing up anymore? will put back up if i fix it)

these are some sketches, the second one is old :b

The second one is awesome! Old as it is, i like these sort of sketches you do.
These and the ones from post #73, last two. As for the colour study, i'm not sure
what your reference was, but i think you can do better than that. . And from what
i see, you were going from a light desaturated value, to a dark saturated one. The
green tones are saturated, you're moving with them to a darker tone, so your dark
tones should all be saturated, or your right arm has a very desaturated tone.

Looking forward to see more colour studies

Great sketches, fantastic tonal quality in some and i see some sprinkles of a personal style here and there with the monsters and character ideas .

I think it'd be great to see some more developed personal work from you especially as I reckon it's quite noticeable that you have some really good innate artistic qualities.

Don't stop the flow of work man, cool SB !
