    Wasp Eddy´s Sketchbook

hi all! i just decided to start my own sketchbook in this awesome community.
Thanks to all the feedback i received in the WIP sub forum, i realized that i need to quit photoshop for a while and star focusing on my drawing skills.
Of course, i will keep doing studies with photoshop, but thats all.

For now, i want to focus on anatomy so i started doing some sketches about boxers.

I´m having problems seeing the human body as regular shapes, and also thinking about it in 3D.
I took Loomis books from the net, and i´m looking them.
Still, any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

PD: my scanner messed up things, so i retouched it with photoshop.

    Red face

    another update...
    My first master study.
First of all, my most sincere apologies to the original artist and Goya himself for this...
The other day in the awesome horse facebook group, Noah Bradley told me that i should be doing life studies and master studies aswell, so...
If an amazing pro artist takes the time to gave you an advice, you should follow it, right?
I was scared as hell when i started, but later i took my breath and tried to do my best.
Its full of mistakes, the thing i noticed at the very end is the tiny T-rex arms

    hi all!
    This is a selfportrait.
Trying to improve my observative drawing skill, also experimenting with blending.
Also, i´m wearing a gundam pilot suit because i´m so nerd and gundams are so
    cool.

Nice work so far. Watch your underlying forms, so things don't start to look all melty when you begin painting them. More anatomy studies! You'll find them useful.

Ysvyri: Thank you for the feedback and my apologies for the late reply ^^

As you suggested i´m doing some anatomy studies everyday (from reference, Loomis, and recently Hogarth)

Since i have a pretty active sketchbook in Crimson Daggers, i decided to keep this one updated too.

    So, big update!

Hey there mate, Thanks for your advice in my sketchbook, it`s definately very helpfull.
You got some cool stuff going on here. I really got struck by your tentacle monster thingy in post 7. As far as I can comment on your work, maybe you can push your poses more in a 3/4th view, where the hip is tilted. Your figures are awesome but they do miss some appeal in my opinion.

    Take care,
    Talis

the other day i saw in the lounge a resurrected thread of a guy who was pissed because everyone was doing a graphic novel, so i decided to start my own graphic novel too. xD
I dont have any idea, never did comics before, so it will be mostly crap, but still i think i will learn a lot and it will be fun!
This is a sketch i did today, to start experimenting.

I will, it really kicks ass, the atmosphere is great. Only thing that disturbs me is that the magazine is a bit to small

Amazing work on that finished piece! Her intense expression framed by that striking red hair really demands the viewer's attention.

I like where that comic strip is going, too. Keep it up!
