Hey d, hope you had a great christmas!
Looking good, you've been working hard i see.
Keep an eye on how feet look in heels, i am aware you hve less experience of this than me, but still, the masses are still the same and you need the ball of the foot on the ground for balance.
I did a little paint over of your TD, hope it's ok.
designboot: Thanks man! Yup... the children are fun to make I'm gonna have to get my ass over to you homepage and see if there are any updates! Hilarious christmas-movie you mailed me... haha...

designboot: Glad you like! And thanks for the crit... I'll definately redo that hand.
last one is crasy! linework is getting better
godt nytt år, keep doing what you are, great progress, also that digital stuff is very good!
hey, i got a challenge for you. Next 4 drawings you draw should have nothing but linework. No shading. That should be interesting. Catch you on msn.
Hey, I like your pencil sketches and your style, it's unique. I'd like to see more work with realism and accurate human proportions though. The position of the guy with the fiddle in #1147 isn't working... I tried to draw a boy playing a fiddle recently too and struggled with it and I didn't even have the challenge of dealing with him sitting down! It's a difficult piece to work out but perhaps you should consult some refs for that position, the legs look ok, the upper body and arms, neck and head where the problems are and I'm sorry I can't be more precise.
In your most recent batch of sketches I like the little boy and girl - however I'm only saying they're little because of proportions... the rendering hints they might be old but I can't tell.
Anyways, keep them coming, you have a huge SB and I have lots of things to learn from your work.
Hey hey, your pencil renderings are getting smoother and not so fuzzy! Good going!!! Better contrast too! But watch the proportions how we discussed. Good stuff, keep posting ... heheeh and where s our lil late night challenge image .. you update slacker????!!!!
frostsnake: Thanks man! Godt nyttår til deg og! Sure I'll keep on keepin' on
Slash: Done and done... think I've done more with just lines now... I'll keep at it... I'll mix some redering in there, cuz I love doing that, but I'll work on my lines!
n1va: Thanks for the crits! I'm into anatomy studies these days.. I'll post a batch of that stuff soon!
fooxoo: I'm not slackin'! I'm not!! Haha... I got the loomis-book you suggested... doing some studies from that now.. scans one of these days... hehe... THe Challenge is below
Yeah... Me and Fooxoo did a one hour challenge yesterday... backpack-creature... the big ugly dude is on his way to school, and he uses the little dude as a backpack... note the teacher's pet apple on the book Check out Fooxoo's piece at the bottom of her post here: Clicky

+1 karma! *ding*
Last one is crazy.
btw, badger is right about the lightsource. skjerpings!
Like this sketchbook, one can see the progress you do and it is great to see it.
Is in my opinion the best one you have made so far in regards to proportions.
I think it was Hurri that said that your proportions dont work, not the proportions them selfes, but in combination with eachother.
This is something you have almost constantly, and is one of the hardest things with proportions.
But you are getting better and better with each post.
I really like your valuestudies.
Hi there my friend. Sorry for not posting here sooner. You are doung fine, steady progress. This last challenge was fun to see. Good work. Intresting that both you and fooxoo only used the silhouett for the creature nad renderd the backpack. But then again, it was a 1h challenge. I'd like to see you work more with both hard and soft edges. Maybe it'll add more depth.
Take care, talk to you soon again.
dont know if I posted this before, but totaly helps!
your latest is coop is good, and only in one hour. soemthing that could define some areas better, is if you scaled up the image double size, and used an eraser to define the siluette more, like in focus areas like the heads. then scale back..
seems like you got something going for you, so keep playing with it!

Badger: Thanks man! Glad you like And I'll keep the crit in mind fo' sho'!
Slash: Haha... we got some karma this weekend too... so you're almost good... just update your own damn book
Colrouphobic: Appreciate the crits! Thanks for taking the time!
Pencilator: Hehe... the "brief" was that the big dude was to be in silhouette... hence the similar approach Thanks for stopping by! And thanks for the crit!
frostsnake: Yeah... I might take it further... Thanks for the link! I'll check it out... I'm doing some Loomis-studies these days as well... we'll see how it goes.
wakazou: Thanks man!
Sketchy sketches... hehe
