loomis' Drawing the head and hands

So I'm trying to work my way through this book, copying all the pictures multiple times as I go, but my heads don't look exactly like his because I don't have a good grasp of the muscles under the face.

should I be supplementing this with diagrams of facial muscles right now or will he address that later on in the book? Because to be honest I just finished "plate 7" with the neck in different positions when the head tilts.

I don't know, why don't you look and see?

I don't believe I have to do this, but it seems to be a recurring problem for people, so...

    How to use a book:
    READ IT. Words and pictures.
    The WHOLE thing.
    Front to back.
THEN go back through, drawing/copying what you think you need, rereading sections you don't understand, etc. Underline. Write notes in the margins. Test your understanding by PUTTING THINGS INTO PRACTICE.

And, if you're totally confused, if none of it makes sense on first/second/third reading, or if you just plain don't like it, TRY SOMETHING ELSE.

Hey, sorry if you thought my question was stupid. but I don't have the whole book yet.
I have a pdf that doesn't seem to have all the pages (corrupted?). I've got like 30-40 pages of it. I'm waiting for the real thing to come by interlibrary loan. so I couldn't read the whole thing even if I wanted to.

but it's going to take like at least a week, so I just wanted to ask some ideas for what I should do in the meantime(or if I should start reserving other books by ILL). I'm already drawing the pictures that I have, when I said I finished plate 7, I mean I have drawn every single picture at least once up to plate 7. So, I'm not trying to slack or anything...

but thanks, I guess, I didn't know that you guys get a lot of questions like this on art discussions.

OK, sorry to jump on you, but there are a bazillion sources for Loomis PDFs out there, I'm sure you can find a complete copy while you wait. Or you could always buy it.
