    The Electric Ant sketchbook

    Hello everyone!
I'm 21yo guy who is going to study Game Art Design in 3 months, so I've decided that it's good moment to start my own sketchbook here!

Here is a still life and some sketches, from refs from http://www.lovecastle.org/draw/ , from today, all critic and comments welcome

Hello, and welcome to CA! Great studies so far, especially that skull. The nail polish is a good start to painting from life, but it's a little asymmetrical - try flipping the canvas when you're blocking it in to help alert you to symmetry issues early on. Keep up the good work!

A good start - loomis` books are simply amazing. Keep it up.
I think that your paintings appear to blurry because you overuse
the airbrush brushes - take the good old hard round brush instead.
    keep it up.
    greetings

Hey,thanks for stopping by my sketchbook, I really dig your use of wet media on those moleskine pages and your ability to sketch from imagination which is an ability which i am finding very hard to develop. I would suggest however that you work on the confidence of your line in your pencil drawings.

jabbit - Thanks mate! That's not moleskine It's just random cheap sketchbook.. actually I need to get moleskine sketchbook cause that one I use has grainy, textured paper which makes lines look messy:/ Well I've been drawing from my imagination my whole life simultaneously overlooking the importance of drawing from life and now I have to make that up... And yeah, I need to work on my lines Anyway, thanks for visit

    Nice work so far!

is it just me or does it looks like the gnoll is scratching his balls?
I like the idea of it scavanging human remains to add to his armor/tools. perhaps elaborate more on things like the kneecaps.
    those look a bit generic.

Lumens - thanks man! Good advice! I applied it and added some more bones stuff

I think I can call the gnoll finished.. Also here are some sketches and my idea for the actual CHOW - The Captain of the Guard.
