hey im ben flores. ive been painting digitally ever since i got my first tablet when i was 16 and ive been drawing my entire life. i started to paint seriously when i dropped out of school so please be as blunt as you can when it comes to criticism

Nice start man! i like it so far, play a bit more with your brushes, i really really liked the halo one, but next time don't use the color picker, work on your colors... but overall you got some good stuff going on in here, keep it up

hey great start! you've got great control over edges and it seems that you do understand metal but the first couple (not the halo type guy) but the others seem to have weaker rendered metal, not sure if you got lazy?

great job with the male torso! looks like a 3D render, I would suggest doing more studies from videos/other actiony type things because unless you're able to render muscles in actions or are memorizing muscles as you do these, this isn't gonna help you a lot with placing characters in poses

keep it up!

hey kaye, i really dont have any understanding of how light would look on metal yet but thats something i need to study ill definitely do more studies of muscles in action

the forms on the abs were really hard to see in the reference but im really happy with how this turned out

Okay, you can draw and render like the best of 'em, but if i may give one piece of advice: please lay off the soft rounds. Everything looks incredible polished and airbrushed, but also pretty lifeless. Try experimenting with making your stuff with only hard rounds or with textured brushes, and i wouldn't be afraid of putting some colour in there. Nothing to kill a picture like lots of black. So, keep it up, you've got some great stuff in you!

if you keep this work up you'll be easily a pro in your early 20's!
So envious, when I was your age I coudlnt even draw a human figure properly. I hope you won't give up on drawing because you have a lot of potential!

I agree with with walnut on the brushwork, no more crits from me (i'm not that good for that you see) but you have definitely grown better man, keep at it

Great start with your sb! Those Ps studies are nice and so are the body sketches. Keep struggling, you've got great potential!
