Great colors and values, anatomy looks pretty good too, i think your weakest part is the women's faces - they just don't seem attractive to me, though it might be just a personal preference.

Keep up with the great work!

    Cheers,
    Fallen.

Great values in the last one, and i especially like the reflections in the swords.
As for crits; I think that her armor would benefit from the same treatment as you did with the swords, intentionally or not but her armor currently looks more as made of plastic than metal/bronze.

    Cheers,

This is definitely an example of quality over quantity. Your rendering is stunning, that edf character would fit happily in a 1940s art gallery! Any chance of posting (or giving some explaination on) your early stage wips, greyscale values and such? Your stuff is so polished I am struggling to see your process. Anyway, thanks, five stars from me.

i agree with dale, but at the same time i feel like there's a sense of unnatural...ness. I feel that sometimes you overdetail and polish stuff that really needn't have that much attention, it makes some part of the paintings distracting from the overall image, and, for me was a tiny bit jarring when giving a first glance, though the second glanced opinion was: great skillz, whish i was that talented.

Your latest stuff looks great. Although I will be honest, it gives off a creepy sexual vibe. In post #37 the head seems off, I do not know if it is a mask or a stone head replacing the actual head. Great job nonetheless, keep up all the hard work.
It's not who I am underneath, but what I DO that defines me

    Finished piece.

@Dayle: Thanks! I posted some progress shots of pieces on the first page, hopefully that gives some insight into my process, I usually establish, pose first; sometimes a grayscale values sketch, but other times I will go straight to colour. I usually try to plot out darkest darks first and lightest lights first, so I know the limits in my piece. As for polish and rendering, you get better at that with practice, just keep pushing to refine things.

LoudLikeNature: Thanks for the crit, I am actively trying to experiment more with looser detail and letting the mind of the viewer fill in any detail, an approach I had in mind for masked barbarian. I think it worked to some extent but still falls into old habits in areas.

V3T: Thanks for the crit! Sexual vibe? The one in post 36 or 37?

Great colors! But I'm a little tired of just seeing young, attractive skinny white women and some ugly goblin creatures! I'd love to see you expand your box!
