    Wladimir's sketchook -C&C appreciated!

Hi there guys, My name is Wladimir and im from Dominican Republic, i have learned a few things at the university but i still lack practice, so i try to study daily while i can. I dont want to rush into other things like creating my own work while having flaws with things like anatomy, composition and such, so im taking it slow and making studies.

    Here we gooo

Here are some studies i did digitally, im still making my way into digital medium since ive spent most of my life using traditional techniques.

Hey guys, a few more studies from today!

I took some photos to study them (cup of tea, silver shiny stuff) made some weird ice study, and made some quick poses at posemaniacs with the timer set on 60secs

Nice looking work. I see you aren't afraid to tackle reflective things and transparent things. I'm scared to try them. The armor is quite nice. I tried a shiny suit of armor once and failed so badly I had to curl up in the corner and cry.

One bit of advice: It looks like you're trying to solve little value relationship problems before solving the big ones. I think this is why each wrinkle seems to go from 0% in the valley to 100% at the peak. Before worrying about little wrinkles in the shirt or the face, you need to squint your eyes and establish the big relationships. Then you can work into the details while keeping the big relationships intact. In the case of wrinkles and things, just tiny hints in the right places will get the job done. Don't feel that you have lay in tone for the entire length of every crevasse.

    Onwards!

Thanks man! haha yeah those shiny things can become really tricky!

I definitely understand what you say ill do my best to follow your advice! ive been having that problem for a while haha.

These are some of the things i did in these days, that portrait took me more than i expected but it was a fun thing to do, tried to get the colors right without picking them from the photo.

And some sketches i made while waiting for the teacher in the class, some things that came to my mind for the Crimson Daggers bloodsports, lets see if i can make it before the deadline.

Thats it for now guys, have a nice day!

wow the amount of work is insane! so inspiring

I can tell that you really enjoy rendering I'd suggest that you establish a clear foundation though before you rush through to rendering because no amount of rendering can fix a broken foundation
some of your foreshortening and anatomy is off in your figures, e.g. the first black/white rendered guy, his arm in the front is much too long

keep up all the work though!

Sup guys! some updates! a werewolf piece for the cghub drawing jam, even though is finished i dont think its worth posting since im not 100% happy with it, i received some critics to fix the composition, colors and proportions.
    -Jose Ribera study
    -Subleyras study
-A self portrait of myself without skin, to understand some of the muscles.
    -Some life sketching
-And some gestures for the spartan camp #233, this one was pretty fun and helpful!

    Cheers!
