I was thinking of writing some quotes or thoughts that cross my mind every day, while drawing or do my daily life.

This idea of ​​opening a portfolio and my mind to all who visit this page, born of the artistic journey of Jonathan Hardesty http://http://66.150.138.143/foo.html?t=870.
His site motivates many young artists, including myself. I want others to also feel that "push" they were seeking.

Although I am very young to talk about experiences or anecdotes, you can always salvage something of what a person can say.

I mean, I expected that you could advise and critique my work, sorry about that.


The last Christmas my parents gave me a Bamboo Create, since then I tried to learn on my own using tutorials or watching the brush strokes of some artists.

1.My first digital drawing

2.This is the first realistic still life that I decided to do using my tablet

3.This image is a copy of a fanart I found on internet (Unknow artist). This is the last thing I worked last week, is still incomplete, perhaps today or tomorrow I will have it ready.

5.My first landscape using greyscale. (It was the first time I used CS5 )
This landscape is part of a story I wrote in school, I hope to to continue with the project later.

6.This is my latest concept in terms of environment, I think there is still much for improvement but I have no means of how to do it xD


BTW,
1. I have no idea how to customize, create or configure the brushes on PS. x)
2. I love oil paintings, but I have never painted one.
3. I want to be better every day.

Yeah man get studying and creating! This is the place to be!

From this selection of work the best is the fan art copy, but I would advise you to not copy other people's fanart for study. The problem isn't plagerism since it's a study, but the fan art you chose to study isn't the greatest so you will probably form bad habits from it. If you want to study artwork make sure it's really good and have an intention, like what skill do you want to gain from studying it? Composition? Process? Color theory? I suggest studying the masters like John Singer Sargent and for environments, David Roberts, John Berkey, Jean-Leon Gerome, Joseph William Turne, Ralph McQUARRIE and Syd Mead will benefit you.

Otherwise it's better to look at real skies if you want to paint clouds. Same with everything.

Don't worry about oil paint now. It's okay to be inspired by something and never do it yourself and once you learn painting principles it's easy to do it in every medium. But personally I found gouache the best medium to learn painting techniques..

It feels like you have something started at least so keep it up! The ink drawing is interesting.
