    Video, paintings, drawings etc.

First, I want to present a video, which might be useful for some of you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ogt25VRb-Ic which is one of few upcoming tutorials on technical issues. Below are few expressive paintings (incl. one after Remrandt's Hermitage "Portrait of an old woman"), few 5 min. drawings, a portrait, etc...

    Good stuff. Bizarre and disturbing.

Thank you , gfxtwin, and yes I'm big fan of Goya since 1974. Here are two more paintings and few drawings, I might make paintings from them as well. Still trying to imagine how would they look like executed in the same manner?

Almost too brutal for my taste. But I like it.

    Cheers

if you like goya you might also like Francis Bacon. Not necessarily for his perceptual qualities but more so for his conceptual.

merl1n, at my age (which is 45 ) I understand that most important in art is to be honest with yourself. Trying to please the public ends in neither you, nor the public is satisfied. If an art leaves you indifferent, then it's not real art. So better brutal than impersonal. I'm glad you like it though, thank you.
Robert.B I guess you mean Pope Innocence screaming (that's my Bacon's favorite). As you pointed out, his concept was great. I can't judge his artistry, but obviously he had great pleasure of what he did
    Thank you for your posts.
    Here are two more drawings.

Sorry I'm late, been away for two days. Conte, you want more, here you are, unfortunately older things and a bit eclectic... The photos aren't very good as well, hope you can get the essence. The first is my only cg generated piece (actually scaned graphite drawing, reworked in a tablet), not very good try anyway... I miss the smell and feel of oil when I work on tablet. There is a portrait of an old lady, wearing dog sterilization mark as an earring and three drawings as well.
    Thank you for your post!

Absolutely lost myself from the last pictures. Just blown away.
I love and hate it with all of my soul. Because it's scary true.
    Where did you study?

Conte...I don't know what to say. Being blown by my painting is the biggest compliment I've ever had, so, thank you very much! As for studying, in 1985 i've applied for Sofia's academy, was rejected and that was that. But in the years 1998- 2003 I worked as copyist in Vienna, copying mostly biedermeier artists from XIX century( von Amerling, Gauermann,Valdmuller, Lampi etc.)and that was my real education
Here is another two oldies- an pastoral and painting called "Pavlikeni mon amour"

WOw!!!! these ARe splendid works, the imagery partially reminds of goya and partially of odd nerdrum and when mention their names, I mean it as a compliment.....
These are some very strong works with strong emotions running beneath the surface. I just hope people who get to witness these works just dont judge them just on the surface.
    Poderful stuff!

Thank you bhanu! I'd post more, unfortunately don't have many new paintings yet (or at least being worthy to be presented here). Posting more oldies for me would be going out of Conceptart concept, so this is it for now. Good luck and inspiration to everyone!

    Thumbs up Goya!

The content & style of your work truly reflects one of my favorite Painters-Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes, [Goya]. Thank you for sharing
I stopped fighting my inner demons; we're on the same side now...
