    Concept: Fire Bug

The Fire Bug lays it's eggs in forests, then sprays flammable chemicals from two points under it's shell, the heat from which causes the eggs to hatch. The bug dies shortly afterwards, and the larvae eat up all the charred remains.

    Concept: fire bug
Disgusting pale bug of the order palebugia. Smashing it's body to the ground it propels unknown chemical mixture trough it's simple gut and out of it's mouth. This mixture is then ignited by small current of electricity created by rubbing of tentacle like projections that surround the mouth. The end result is splutter of fiery death which fire bug uses both in hunting and in defence. Treat with extreme caution.

    Poll is up!

    Cuts this week:

Ian Barker - reason: Rule #1: C/D - No individuals or characters/No accessories or clothing.
blade sheriken - reason: Failed quality check (work looked rushed/unfinished/not of sufficient quality).

    Close to Rejection:
Ville_S - Looks rushed as your work goes. I believe you are capable of more polished work.
Snowgoyless - Creatures look like borderline vertebrates, which would disqualify then on the count of not being a bug.
Damien Levs - Round requirement #3 could have been given more attention, particularly given how quickly you finished.

Oh yes, I understand now that my creatures don't look "buggy" enough. I was doing something completely out of my comfort zone without having much biological knowledge of what a "bug" really is ("six legs, has hitinous scales/shell... that's all?").
    Lesson learned!

Please accept the comments with a positive mind. I am not here to hurt.

I will be quick... and straight to the point.

@Damien Levs: Nice and simple. Try to go crazy with the design next time. Also I prefer creatures in an environment rather than a model sheel thingy. I don't know what the JURY says. Anyway good job. Keep it up.

@maxdav90: What can I say? You got my vote

@jon n: Awesome. Love the style.

@elephant's stroke: Interesting bug design. You have to work on the fire colors though. It would be better if you show lighting from the fire on the bug.

@hekatoncheir: cool... hot... magma bug Nice job with colors. Love the radio transmission.

@Ian Barker: Nice drawings. I like the lighting and shadows and pretty colors. Funny story in the pictures. But try working under THE RULES next time. Sorry.

@blade sheriken: Interesting Hues, but you have to start playing with values first. I hope you understand what I mean.

@Edward B: Cool details on the bug. I think you have to work on the colors of that hot drooling stuff.

@Snowgoyless: Suspecious creature design but very interesting fire generation idea. You have to add a high saturated yellow to the core of the fire. Also strong highlights missing. Atleast that's what I think.

@Ville_S: Great Bug Design. Help somebody I am not able to focus the lens

@ChromaticCodex: Nice Overall. I think you have to bring the saturations down on the environment part to make the scene look natural. I know its not about environment. Just suggesting.
