I like the mood of the last piece but the statue doesn't look as real as the rest. Why not post it in the critique center? I got the impression people are more helpful over there.

I've learned of late that is not a good idea to think in terms of motivation or inspiration. Think "What do I want to draw next?"or "What artistic problem do I want to work on next?" I've read a couple of things recently that you might find useful:

Professional that doesn't draw very much.
(Google for "Chris Sanders I infrequently draw")

Professional that realized there's no need learn everything before starting a project.

Hey there João, thank you for stopping by my sketchbook.
I really liked your #70 update, very impressive and has a great sense of expression. Keep practicing and don't give up on school, college is way worse and I used to love my days there.
I thought I'd sugest you also to take a look at Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing From Life, Michael Hampton: Figure Drawing - Design and Invention.
Please, check my SKETCHBOOK and leave feedback. I want to improve!

Hey. I like your paintings. You've got a good sense of color and light.

When it comes to hair though, try to think of it the same way that you think of the rest of the body. You've got these nicely modeled out figures, but then the form of the hair on some of them seems to get pretty flat. Hair should be treated as any other form, and the hair quality of it should mainly be a matter of lighting and detailing.

You've got a good eye for colors and you're already working hard on anatomy etc. Just keep doing what you're doing, I think you're on the right track. You could try breaking up the body into basic forms like cylinders and boxes to make drawing from memory easier. You should also start working on perspective soon I think It will help in all aspects of drawing (human figure, landscapes, vehicles etc.)

    Good luck

You've got your original stuff nicely going already Good amount of studies also, but you seem to be mainly focusing on figures. I'd suggest more diverse studies (perspective, color, etc) if you aim to be an illustrator in the future. But you're definitely on the right track. Just keep painting!
