Icon OHMYGODMYEYES - story of getting serious

Helloooow! :D So after continuously failing at creating epic art piece that would overtake the world I started to consider that I >could< use some basic life study.
As every beginner I'm really not used to doing anything longer than 1.30h so trying to carefully analyze and then draw what I see was something new and oddly fun. Especially that life drawing I'm doing at high school are things that I hate the most...
Whether its because of color, or because with photoshop and not oil pastels, or perhaps that I actually get to choose what I'm drawing... None the less I like it and I feel like I'll be doing those as frequently as possible.

But in the end, it's all just beginning.

P.S. Must I mention that critique is most welcome? ;)

hi, yes, still life is very important, don't be afraid to paint some odd stuff like ham or shrimps, it could really teach you a lot.
about your can, your top ellipse is wrong but otherwise that's a good start.
Remember still life is all about three steps: draw (until it's perfect but don't got into details, just draw a perfect shape), then block in and render.
