Critique needed D3 Art Contest

Hiya Everyone !

I worked on the 5th thumb, it's definitly gone away from the sacrifice theme which I don t mind since ill be doin this for my portfolio. Non the less I'll still do the sacrifice piece from the above view.

I got the feeling that I lost her beauty while rendering the details.
I tried to do more silhouette like Artfix suggested but it seemed odd so I gave in a little more light.

So whats your oppinion on the piece ? -> It's still WIP

You have a hand which appears to coming out of the top of her arm,and there is no arm attached to her other shoulder to suggest its attached

Looks cool to me man. I'm not sure what Artimatum meant about the arms, but you will definitely want to get reference. Take the ref of yourself and I mean that man. DO IT! You will be glad you did.

The bottom of her ear is about where the top of it should be.

Are her arms long enough? I don't think her arms are long enough.

nope they are too short, i too some refpics yesterday and hopefully i'll have enough time to complete her surgery over the weekend ^^.

on the first one, if you can get her eyes to focus on the specter, you'll have a winner.
all this stuff is just top notch, in my amateur opinion.

Define the bottom left corner maybe? Right now, she could be coming out of a portal, a magical tornado or a hole in a tree for all we know. If the dark stuff is just the other end of the specter, then her butt should be at least partially visible behind the end of the tail.

On a side note, the bone around her eye seem a little odd. Like her eye is poking out of the face somehow.

She's supposed to be lookin at the monster thingy, i redid most of the parts yet have to work on the monster thingy which i think wil be the least difficult but lets see ... what do u think ?

Great work so far! I did a little overpaint to help out, or maybe not xD anyways... I think you could make much more out of the lighting. push the glowing monster thing forward and bringing the lights on the girls face..i also croped it just a little.

shes looking somewhere off below the monster, and theres something funny on her back.
those little things aside i think shes good to go for now, lets see the monster!

Hey Folks !

It's been a while but i feel like i finally come to an end with this piece.
I wandered quiet far from "classical sacrifice pice" more to lovely ghostbusting

The overpaint with the lightning was something I discarded a while ago since I wanted to go with a silhoutte in the mid tones.

I like the fingernails I don't think I could pull that off.

Watch the tangents on her left hand...two brutal ones there. Also that intense white just hurts my eyes and is distracting. I would reverse that and make that go into shadowy darkness which allows the creature to be the light source and allows her to be illuminated by its glow.

Thx 4 the feedback, but I'll stick to the backlighting, spent too much time at this piece already ^^ painting that would make me do the whole thing again since it would mean a major change to values even though it might be interesting. Good point on the tangents will change that for the final version.
