loving this sketchbook! wonderful style, and really flowy figures!
wow that figure on the right just above has massive value to it!! i Love it!! You are doing a great job still with the figures! I would like to see some of those perspective studies you did in the beginning of the sketchbook, you did such a great job with those. Would like to see more as well as your progress with figures! Keep it up!!
beautiful life drawing!
Thanks man
Line weight is actually pretty simple- things in the back have thin lines and things in the foreground have thicker ones. If its in front, it has thicker lines. Don't be afraid to make them too thick either, a lot of people are too timid with line weight!

a small update for now- i have a lot of fig drawing stuff to take pictures of when i get the time, so expect that in the near future
a perspective sketch (the first one was referenced) some clothed figure stuff from imagination, and focal point designs for color and design.

Lovely figure drawings!
The school itself is for profit, so it's as money grubbingly expensive as you would expect it to be, however almost every single teacher I've had (save one) has been fantastic and you can tell by their grading system that they're not out to just sell degrees. The grades are done on a scale where an "A" is basically industry level, so A's are few are hard to come by, most people are actually busting their asses for C's and the really hard working students sometimes get B's. So yeah, it's a tough school and if you're willing to work around the GE's and prereqs, you can even save money in a few places. The grad rate is really low because a lot of people actually just go for the classes they want, skip all the prereqs and GE classes and just leave without the degree, but with the knowledge.
Thank you![]()
You have some very cool stuff here I would love to see more environment stuff![]()
Wow this is a great sketchbook! I love your figure drawings!
I have been gone for a while but I'm back again
This semester I'm taking: anatomy, props and vehicles, into vis dev, and 3D modeling for games... expect mostly prop studies though haha.

Amazing technique and style. I love your way of doing things. You have a good understanding of mostly everything fundamental and it's good that you're reinforcing it. Keep it coming. Subscribed.

whoaa!! those figure drawings, perspective and character designs are bloody gorgeous!! I really like seeing your concept works, especially for that skater ; w ;
can I ask what goes in your head when you do quick gestures? because I always make a mess when it happens
Haha thanks I'm glad you like her (she'll have props and stuff soon).
A lot of this is me just parroting my teachers, but the main thing for gestures is clearly getting down the gesture/weight/rhythm of the figure with the least amount of information. Proportion is always important, but for quick gestures (like 2-5 minute drawings). What I usually focus on is: angle of the chin (not any real face detail beside getting the bottom plane of the nose), angle of the shoulders(especially in relation to the angle of the hips), rhythm of the spine(I'll usually draw this line through the top of the head all the way down to the feet), and the planes you plant the feet on. A good drawing can easily be ruined by feet on odd planes, so I usually just end up drawing a stick for the bottom plane of the foot or maybe a triangle. Just remember to simplify everything, use long clean strokes (this takes a lot of practice, I still need more practice at this, but it's very rewarding), and don't worry about details- only the essential stuff to convey your gesture.
sorry this turned out to be kinda long lol
edit: I went and saw your sketchbook and half of this I'm sure your'e aware of already!
