    Yes, these are real.

Yeah, I'm glad these things are endangered, because, well, dear lord...Just look at them!
before you call bullshit, I'm going to leave this wikipedia page for you to take a look at, after that its up to you to make a decision, but I wouldn't blame you if you just strait up refused to accept their existence.
I am genuinely amazed, I thought bats only worked on a small scale, just imagine a swarm of these coming at you.http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1335283867

Yeah, fruit bats aka flying foxes, I've known about them since I was a kid...

They're completely harmless. I love bats, we have a lot here, I'm sorry
that these amazing animals are endangered.

EDIT: I thought this thread was going to be about tits.

They are harmless and quite beautiful. How could anyone with a soul rejoice in their endangered status?

Well, we can turn it into a thread about tits. This one, for example, is quite real:

Really? No one agrees that they are scary as hell? Look at the fucking size of them.
Imagine if all bears were tiny, like the size of mice, and then suddenly you realised that giant ones existed and could rip your face off. That's how we should feel about these.
I want to see one, but I want bullet proof glass between me and them, you know?
When I say I'm glad they're endangered, what I mean is they are scary as fuck and I am so happy they don't live where I live. They live in the Philippines. Like those soldiers, I would have shot that fucker, I don't even give a shit.
Imagine what batman would've been like if he was attacked by these as a child.
yeah, the title's a little misleading, but you might not have looked if I said: Giant demon bats from your nightmares.

Here's something to think about, his wings are more than big enough to wrap around you.

Really? You're glad that these completely harmless and innocent creatures don't live near you and would shoot them just for looking like nature intended but you're happy to have humans live near you? The only animal that deserves to be endangered are us, get it straight.

I love giant animals, always have. One great thing about living in
Africa, we get everything big here. Especially things like our great white
    sharks and salt water crocodiles.

To me there is no such thing as a really ugly animal, they all have their
    place.

When they announced that the Baiji (river dolphin) had gone
extinct. I cried. Literally. To see an animal like that go extinct in my lifetime.

As someone who actually carried a gun in the line of duty?

No I wouldn't have. But in your defense I was a trained and disciplined officer, so maybe thats the difference.

And a fruit bat would not try to kill you.

I love bats. We had some smaller ones in a house in Malaysia. They made a mess, but were so cute, especially the babies. Saw a big one about 18inches body height hanging from an electric cable.

I guess your sense of humor gland has shriveled up and died from all the telling people off and being right about stuff.

Pandas aren't even making an effort.
It's not that they deserve to become extinct, its just that they are becoming extinct and it's their 'fault'. So fuck 'em, maybe we should be spending our Panda budget on giant death bats instead.

I love little fruit bats, but these massive ones are like the vamprie brides from vanhelsing.

I can somewhat relate to crap you're typing since I was borderline arachnophobic as a teenager, and have killed a few spiders in my lifetime simply because they were fucking scary to me and we had poisonous species in my area.
the underlined part still gives a strong impression of a batshit mental person, though.

Yeah cause it's DAMN funny killing animals hafuckingha.

Don't give me the cocky bull about my humor and always being right, I'm as laid back as anyone could get, I don't care about politics, or religion or anything, but when people even joke about killing an animal for no good reason, it pisses me off, its nothing but cruel.

Call them creepy, call them ugly, tell us that you hate them, but don't make like they deserve a bullet in the head just because they creep you out.

Taking a life, ANY life is not funny, end of story.

Sorry barefoot, I am sure you are not trying to be offensive, but
I don't think you are going to win any friends with any thread along
the lines of wiping out or killing animals. Especially in a time when
animals are actually being wiped out in their hundreds constantly
and many species are under threat of extinction.

Now lets all calm down and try to be civil to each other before this
    turns into a flamewar.

Obviously, you've missed a crucial point.

These are fruit bats. meaning, they eat fruit. They are not carnivorous. They won't rip your face off. They wouldn't try to kill you. They having nothing akin with vampires.

Um, they are quite harmless fruit eaters, have no significant claws to speak of and wouldn't try to kill you.

Looks like you have a bit of a bat phobia there. :-)

    Hmm im not convinced.

Seriously though these are gorgeous!! Why would you rejoice in them being wiped out

As everyone has said they aren't carnivorous and wouldn't eat you but what difference does that make? You wouldn't last long with a group of hungry tigers but would that mean you would want them all dead?
