    That Dirty Hippy NaMeD N0N

    Hello there!
I would like to share work with you that is more about inspiring you than being finished artworks/studies on their own. I mainly do abstract and surreal drawings/digital paintings. Most of them can be thought of as a collage of unfinished sketches to create a whole image. My work revolves around relativity. What you see in the work sometimes is unique to you although I do intend things here and there. I take alot of inspiration from the rorschach personality tests.

    ha thanks HarbingerofIllrepute.

Heres some kinda old quick crappy studies. I've been recently filling 18"x24" pieces of paper with loomis head studies. Once I am able to get some good photos I'll post them.

18x24 loomis head studies. I'm currently working on a sheet for the head in perspective. Can't really get any great pictures but they are just studies so I hope you guys will forgive me.

    @knut- I intend to

I really need to start digitally painting more. I bugs me how much I suck with color haha I got some gurney studies, a very crappy pair of headphones, and a few screen capture studies. I have been making alot of improvement with the loomis studies although you probably cannot see because my pictures are really terrible. I'm working on the same 369 heads over again and the improvement of line quality/confidence and proportions is amazing from when I first started. I also had a little doodle I did after I finished the 369 heads ha. I also have a few sketchbook pages in here. please rip my head off as much as you want! please!!!

    Thanks you guys!

been working on still life's in photoshop haha my coloring is unacceptable. my goal is to do one every day. here are three for the last three days. do you guys have any interesting suggestions for still life's? I'm still remaining steady on my loomis heads as well, doing about a line of 15 heads a day on top of doing a value study of a head from a screen capture of a movie in mechanical pencil I wish I had a better camera. I'm afraid that I should be doing more work from imagination but I'm just now starting to really appreciate/enjoy training my left brain. I have also been watching alot of Sycra's videos on youtube. If you havn't checked them out already I highly recommend them.

Heres from the last three days. Growing more comfortable with the fact that I'm going to have to keep doing things that make me uncomfortable to make faster progress.

Hey N0N, thank you for stopping by my sketchbook and for your kind words.

You have some really great ideas. I'm seeing a nice mix of abstract and surrealism going on here - very cool. I especially like
your attention to detail and how you manage to capture emotions and expression so well.

Keep at the studies! I know they are boring and we all hate doing them but I guarantee that you will see some results and it will be so
    worth it!

Post #12 (the loomis head studies) made me want to cry a little because I don't think I would ever have the patience to do all of
those. Hats off to you for all of that hard work. Keep it up.

@LMagpie: thanks haha yes people tell me that all the time

The last three days of studies. Starting to feel a bit more comfortable with still life's. What do you people suggest when a person is very allergic to oil paint use in replacement? acrylic I'm guessing?

I'm still doing my loomis heads as well.

Haha, sorry N0N, I only meant it in a good way.

Nice still life studies! I think my favorite is the headphone painting.

I don't really have any experience with oil paints but other than acrylics perhaps you could try water soluble oil paints? They might
not contain whatever it is that is making you have an allergic reaction. Tbh, I did use a small pack of water soluble oil paints once and
they weren't that great but at least you can blend with them since they still dry slow. Oh, and they were pretty stinky too...
at least, the brand that I was using was.
