Dark disturbance and happy surprised feeling I can
experience all around. I am very satisfied, the deep
blood painted snow will never hurt my viking shoes.
You have the special gift and knowledge, and I like your
ways. Keep it like this, I will be up in the attic.

and meh... yeAH alchemy will yield that result... try to break out of it. don't go for the mirror immediately try regular drawing or just speed brush and work on that... anyways noticed you havent been on in a while... and that

It's been a awhile since I kept you guys posted, so I thought I'd show something that I've put a good amount of time into and am still facing a few issues with.

What this is supposed to be is a Death Knight from the World of Warcraft, summoning a small army of ghouls. I've been having trouble gesturally, maybe it's just the shitty composition throwing me off, but I want to make it seem as though he is summoning these things, creating a distinct connection between him and the ghouls. But as you can see, there's not much happening there. It's still in the sketching phases, and is looking pretty alright considering the huge amount of empty space and SUBTLE lack of arms, but I feel like I am in the monkey house and should probably move on. I am posting this because it's a milestone, not in the sense that it is anything special, but because it showed me what I need to work on. Traditional here i come. *shudder*

Perhaps the connection could be the shared aura around the ghouls and death knight seeing that you only drew the aura around the death knight. Traditional drawing ain't so bad it is just a kick in the ass to scan.

@kamikazel33t Yeah... I was in the process of doing that and drawing the recognizable trademark hulking DK shoulderguards hinting at his "death knighthood", but something felt really off because I hadn't drawn the deltoids the way I wanted them... also... dusting off "Ye Olde Scanner" as we speak! xD

@Morningtea LE GASP! *ducks behind desk, throwing a various assortment of pen and paper* Longtime no see Morningtea! Glad to see that you're still here... intimidating shotgun and all. Thanksies :>

It's Sunday already, it's like the days mesh together when you don't sleep for 3 days straight! xD
Anyway, Scanny-McDustycooch doesn't seem to want to cooperate after ALL those gestures I did on paper... so eventually I got bored with the ordeal, then subsequently caved and did a little sketch in Photoshop... Eh... LICORICE ARMOR!

I know that there is a mass treasure that you are hiding on paper,
which you didn’t scanned yet. But not to go too far, you have painted
a few master duties with the digital itself. Black and white greyscales,
makes you feel better the shapes and the values, you did the right steps.
Very likeable creepy characters you have created, I am more than satisfied.
The demon with the curvy sword and big teeth is scary as George Clooney
was at his best. Super marvelance endulgance, I like the sword and the robe
design, scary scary effect you achieved. I would like you to go just a bit
darker on some of your paintings, more contrast to be put in. Otherwise
than that, you are doing excellent. I will be up in the attic again, and
waiting for more masterpieces, you take care till then.

    Well, it's that time again.
I've been chillin' like a baller for far too long, my hands have grown ticklish, and I need to create something.
My aversion tactics to photo studies are a thing of legend, I can find so many excuses not to do them it's insane. Well, not anymore... I am going to make it my morning routine.

You came back much stronger than before, chopping down the little Christmas tree right in the
middle. I decided to like and favorize your desirable dedication. Precious small diamonds have
been created as you went down in Acapulco. Goblin progress is outstanding, you got the values
down great for sure. I am a big fan of dicks and foot fetishes, and I was prepared, I like it very
much. I like the expression of satisfaction on her face. If you want, I will repost this beautiful
piece in my sketchbook in the near future? Crediting you of course. I want you to have a happy
new year and all the best possible on this world.

Thanks, I'm glad to know that there are other connoisseurs of filth on this website just like myself... Maybe we can start a club? xD
I don't mind if you repost it, hell, it might even prove to be a good boost of morale if more people came around these parts!

Here's a quick value study... I am making it a virtue to paint something for each time I write.

Just a sketch to get the morning started.
I was playing Legend of Zelda yesterday and it really got me wondering, what if it were placed in an old western setting?
In this story, Link (The protagonist) has to square off with the Bandit ("Bandito" in this scenario) King Ganondorf (The primary antagonist) and his band of goons.
I'll start painting this one as soon as I get all the ideas down and composition flaws worked out.
    This might actually be enjoyable.

Hey Harbinger, not sure if you remember me (I changed my username)

Great progress you've been making - your figures are coming along very nicely - from imagination/constructed, or from reference?
"Never regret thy fall from grace, O' spirit of Icarian flight, for the greatest tragedy of them all to face, is to never feel the burning bright"

    Rabbi Satan I believe?
    Yeah, I remember
My figures are usually referenced at first glance and then constructed directly from imagination... Making it blatantly obvious that they need a bit of work! xD Thanks for stopping by man.
I still remember that time you gave me the confidence to keep posting despite all the bullshit from the past that was weighing me down.

@Sushy It shall be done! I just don't know whether to go cell-shaded or simply do my own thang...
@Elias Yus :3 Alchemy was probably my most favorite thing ever back then!

Warcraft has been on my mind for a while... not going through withdraw or anything, I quit months ago, but what keeps coming back to me are the weapon designs and how bland they've gotten.

Silent Hill is my favorite place to vacation! Such a great community, tourist friendly too.
    @DanBK
Thanks bro, I've been getting in a few jabs here and there... trying to get myself motivated to improve and tap into my latent abilities to produce things of decent quality.

Recently my computer has been on life support, and in its death throes, has made photoshop almost unbearable to work with. Until I can buy a new computer, I will be working with paper and pencil... It's been awhile, but it used to be my strong suit when I was a kid... always drawing monsters... maybe this is just fate trying to tell me something, that I should go back to my roots and study core fundamentals closer.

Sorry for the lack of recent posts.

SO I got a new computer... (don't ask me about what I did o.o haha)
So now I am seeing if everything is in working order, so far the tablet driver is working dandily.
I gotta say... things are looking pretty damn nice, it can handle a lot of things that my old computer couldn't.
Downside, lost all my shit! References, textures, projects, inspiration...
That aside, it's all good in the neighborhood.

Hey thanks for the comment in my sketchbook, I've seen a couple of your things before I just can't recall where right now ha. Really cool stuff, your creativity is great when it comes to your monster making and such. I think you should probably try and focus more on fundamentals like you've mentioned before though. Right now your values could definitely use some work, it seems you either aren't going dark enough or aren't going light enough or both. Try some studies of figures in greyscale and really pay attention to the values, same with trying it from life, I think it would help a lot. Now post more art and satisfy my needs! >

It might be nice to see some real figure studies brought up to the same level. Of course this might expose failings, but it looks like you're brushing most of those under the carpet instead of facing them directly for full out confrontation.
