I used to have 5 star rated posts on this forum 5 years ago, now my latest gets 650 views and not a single reply. I'm not whining, just curious as to why that is. It could be either that I've regressed in my work or that I've done / said something on this forum that killed my reputation. I really hope it's neither. If someone could enlighten me, I would really appreciate it - thanks.

I like your stuff a lot, Mr.Crazybrush. Great textures and designs,
bulky brushstrokes and lots of energy in shapes. Yummy!
And problem of comments and rates lie in different plane, i think- finished section is not as lively as sketchbooks.

I love the use of detail were needed. I keeps my focus to the areas "I believe" were the intended focal point.

    Hey CrazyBrush,

I love your work, I have actually been following your blog for quite sometime now. Your use of color and detail has been inspirational in my own artistic development. I haven't commented on your blog, because I think I would look like a stalker (haha), because just about every comment would be "amazing" or "whats your process?"..etc. Im always amazed by your figure drawings and your style. Your work is very much appreciated in my eyes!

    Keep up the great work!

    Hej, Gorane
    number of things:
1.you need to post it before weekend, so when people wake up and go searching through CA, they'll find your post on top. Also, the Sunday is a peak.
2.Most people following you probably have their own stuff, now.
3.There are many more equally popular galleries than CA, such as CG HUB
    4. from some reason, people expect to see only very detailed masterpieces here.
I keep getting comments like: I love how loose it is/ or I love how polished it is, completely not paying any attention on design, composition, and ideas

your paintings are ace, 5 stars from me

Thanks Gorane, very interesting take on this.
I still feel a little bad saying anything because I strongly believe that a good piece of art advertises itself and eventually finds its audience. If it didn't, it's probably because it's not that good. Even with the points you mentioned.

Btw, your works are very stylish - I love them.

Btw, were those police dudes just for fun or for a gig? I love the concept with the "rolling" shield.

I'm curious what you're doing to get the texture in your paintings. It has a great wash quality to it, while it looks like the strokes are building up at the edges like oils. That's a look that I've been tinkering trying to get in photoshop, but haven't quite managed yet.

    Cheers!

@Blackthorne - Those designs were done for a AAA game that was cancelled after almost a year and a half of work. I designed pretty much all the characters for the game, probably the most fun gig I ever did. This happened 4 years ago and I still can't say the name of the game or who was the developer but I will say that it was a mayor one. It was such a cool project and so fresh (maybe too fresh) - I'll never get over it.

@Artifex33 - Thanks for asking. Usually, I will apply Sharpen filter at some point to harden the edges, I think that's the effect you're talking about. I got that little tip from Craig Mullins himself.
