Food Pirates! + THE CARGO COMMANDER art dump

Feast your eyes (pun intended) on some illustrations of the legendary food pirates!

    Captain Cuttlery

Jacques Crouton aka Breadbeard the Pirate
When the situation gets hairy, Jacques Crouton, Armed with a beard of mythical proportions filled with scrumptious Croutons, will attack any bland soup with great vigour and taste.

    Long John Silverware
Armed with his silver knife he fights culinary injustice throughout the seven seas. His cooking skills are whispered in restaurants in ports from the caribbean to the British Isle. His silver leg is made by the finest silver, dedicated to his great love for mermaids.

    Miss Muffins
Although the love of a man goes through his stomache, the lovely Miss Muffins is waiting for special pirate to love her, for more then her delicious muffins.

    Peg Leg Lee
Are you in dire need of some delicious noodles? Fear not Peg Leg Lee will swiftly deliver it to wherever your ship lies! Ofcourse good service comes with a price, he will take your woman and loot as a tip.

    Tablecoth Ghost
Beware of the tablecloth ghost, for he does not like to be spilled on!

Here are some concept art pieces I made for a game I'm working on, called CARGO COMMANDER. The game is about a lonely Cargo Commander out on his job to collect valuable cargo in space to go back to earth to support his family.

The Cargo Commander is the ultimate working class hero, fighting for the little things in life!

These are some of the crystalline mutants infesting the lost space containers

    And here is a trailer!
I was responsible for the art, animation and FX and my esteemed colleague Maarten brouwer was responsible for programming and coredesign.

shrunkendesigner - Thnx His name was first captain spatula, captain cuttlery won though.

michaelharris - Yeah me too! Getting the game out there is pretty tough!

Destructoid did a nice article about our game trailer which was pretty awesome!
