    Suncut's finished work

Hey Everyone, I've been lurking around the sketchbooks for a long while, but I'm just now gathering my courage to post in FF. I worked on art for mobile games for a while inhouse, but now I'm looking to do more freelance illustration.

All the pieces are personal, newest done in Painter, older ones Photoshop.

There's progress shots for many of them on my blog if anyone is interested.

I hope you guys like them!

edit: added newer stuff in front

    Awesome paintings!
Out of curiosity, Did you intend to give them larger heads?

these are great i love the painterly feel they have, i was wondering too the hands seem small on some with larger heads.

    New stuff added on top!

Velocity Kendall: Thanks, and point about the arms duly noted.
look & mikeorion22: I think the big heads and small hands is partly because I like drawing short people, which naturally makes the heads bigger, some of my characters are supposed to be young, one is a dwarf (or just very short) and partly I'm sure I'm getting my proportions messed up. I'll try and pay attention to it in the future. I don't ever see myself going for the super model proportions usually used in concept art and comics though.

Really great work! Particularly looking at the newer pieces, they're full of character and style and there's a good use of colour. The only thing that I'd critique is the first picture with the dragon- the fact that the girl seems to be looking directly at me, the viewer, takes me out of the picture (or keeps me focused on her and not the rest of the piece).

Primordial Seven: Thanks, it's nice to hear I'm improving! I notice I have the tendency to have people in my pictures looking at the viewer, I've been considering trying to break myself out of it for a little while now, I think the next piece I do no one will be looking out of the picture.
    aaron2: Thanks .
