Work i did for a mystery show is on the bottom of a friend named Chris.
The first is a close up of a recent painting.
I would love feedback or suggestions on my work and or advice on technique or possible any ideas on artist to look at or research.

Heres a painting I did last Semester
it pastel on mi tientes rough side
Here are some sketches from life that I did while at Starbucks, school, and the cta
Really great stuff here
These were done a semester ago. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to capture a likeness and create some sort of color harmony throughout the face. These are very small the biggest one is maybe 6"x 4".![]()
here are some more studies i did one being an attempt at a tromploie (however you spell that) with pins and paper and the other is a nose study with charcoal.
Nice! I really like the second painting you posted, of the girl. Looking forward to seeing more.
Please drop by my sketchbook and help me improve!
Great traditional work. Always nice to see.
You've started out great! The bodys and face painting seems effortless. I like them very much.
The pins and paper study is also nice. It's an eye catcher.
Keep up the good work!![]()

Did this piece today an alla prima done in about 4.5 hours.
need to make some minor tweeks on it still
You’ve done another beautiful piece here! In 4.5 hours, man that’s really good! Nice light and skin tone.
It’s just one thing I was wondering about and it’s the chin and jaw line. Maybe it’s the sketch lines still showing and making the structure a little strange.
But you know, you are so much better than me. And this is just a little constructive critique. I’m already a fan of your work!![]()
Recent Painting I did about a good friend of mine who is an amazingly talented actress. This painting taught me a lot I used a very long layering technique.

Beautiful! I love it!
You’ve got the proportions perfectly right. The skin tones are great and it feels so real.
Très bien!![]()

Thanks Kevinwueste!
The 4.5 hour one was done with oil paints and a little bit of medium on mdf board, it was primed with white acrylic gesso. Also the one KV posted was done in the same medium and in about 2.5 hours. It's a much smaller piece.
Hey Jon, I love those paintings. Keep working, man!
