Insert Coin, Press Start, Ready . . .

    GO!

    Hey everyone.

I am a total newb to drawing. I do admit I have tried on and off the last few years. I have moved from a few jobs, even some which others may call good . . . but I could never get my mind off of art.

I always knew about Sketchbook, but I was always worried. The cold trickle of fear, cold feet, etc. just other reasons to keep me back. However, I have decided this: I want to do art, or at least try!

I also had to come-up with a how:
Draw daily (For between 1 - 4 hours) and post daily . . . and see where I am in one year then continue.

I think just giving myself said work may be not only a good motivation, but a way to see my progress.

    Note:
I will be drawing from what I see and from books. When I draw from a book, I shall reference it.

    Whooo... Scared me

A few pictures. I tried to do some work with the torso region. The hand was just me looking at my left hand. I will be trying to copy from the book tomorrow. They were copied from Goottfried Bammes' "Complete Guide to Life Drawing." I do admit I felt timid tackling it.

I need a lot more work on cubes.

Here I am trying to copy a still-life with a cube on top of a rectangle.
