Awesome sketchbook dude, I used to do a bit of pixel art myself and it's really cool seeing all your sprites n icons.

You've got a really nice way with colours, and I reckon this comes from your pixel art background, hand picking palettes and what not. I would love to see some life studies but TBH you seem to be doing all the right things so just keep going!!

Lightship: Thanks for stopping by again. Glad you like the cabin.

Jackyboy: Thanks. Its rare to see a fellow pixel artist on CA.org. You're right, pixel art probably has influenced my coloring, the limited palettes make you think creatively and try different things.

    Some figure practice

    From imagination

    And a gun

I wonder if I should be using Cubeupload for my images, I'd hate to see this thread filled with broken images in a year's time.

    @QPK: Thanks again bro.

@James Simons: Naw, just an interest of mine. I did however have a similar game concept planned out though, it was to have a Dwarf Fortress crafting/building mechanic in a wilderness-survival frontier theme. If anything it would at least be a unique game.

It's been a sluggish grind week of sketches. I am excited though, for next week I will finally be the proud owner of a digital tablet! Can't wait to see what I can do with one.

Got my tablet, a Monoprice for a measly $40, it seems to be a pretty decent tablet.
Here's what I've done with it so far

    And one in pencil

One thing I dislike though is that I find it difficult to get sharp hard lines unless I push down fairly hard, otherwise brushes get too smooth or blurry.

    Thanks Sony.

In these gestures I visually studied a pose for a few minutes then closed out the window and tried to draw it from memory.

These are some more pixel scenes I haven't posted because they're not really recent, but all are from within the past year and people seem to like them so I'll dump.

awesome sketchbook ! I love your studies and digital work. I have no idea how to make pixel art but I definitely would like to try that out sometime.
Also, your digital paintings and sketches look soo crisp.. is that because you save them as png?
Anyways, keep doing what you're doing.. It's wicked!

@Jarkuzy: Thank you. And about the PNG thing, PNG is a contributing factor since it doesn't compress images, that and using hard-edged brushes.

@HunterKiller: Thank you sir. Always good to hear postiive feedback about my pixels.

Anyway, I have yet more creations to fill this sketchbook with.

Vampire (non-glittering type) pixel for a weekly competition

    and misc. stuff

@Mashach, mistersomes, and dimi, Thanks fellas!

This took a long time to finish but I still have work to do, the left hand is a bit too small and I think the composition is cluttered on the right.

I think that last illustration sucked the life out of me, been pretty lazy/busy this past week, lack of inspiration, so I don't have much to show.
