    IOW #18 - Propaganda Poster

Illustration of the Week #18: Propaganda Poster

This is a one week topic.

    Topic
This weeks topic is Propaganda Poster. Your task is to choose some period in which propaganda posters were made (perhaps the World Wars or something else), and make a poster in that style. And since it has been requested below, I will allow posters to depict fictional scenarios (anachronisms, science fiction etc). This one is pretty open, but it will need to include at least some text and border with it.

    Have fun!

    Deadline
The deadline is Sunday 26th of February, 23:59 GMT

Does it have to be a realistic historical poster? I know it says a period where posters existed but can it be the style of propaganda for something anachronistic like propoganda for neanderthals going up against Cro-mags? Or completely made up like fantasy or sci-fi propaganda posters? Or period posters for a made up event. Like a world war 2 era martian invasion?

Just curious about what the limits are for these posters

Since you guys are requesting it I'll allow alternate histories of fictional scenarios for the posters. I originally was going to do it like that but felt it was too open and hard, but I guess I was wrong. So go ahead with your ideas

Well I'd like to see people push themselves for this one and get used to working under tight deadlines. That being said, if the turnout is really bad and there are enough people wanting an extension I may consider it.

sounds good, one question, does this have to be human propaganda or can it include alien or animal type scenarios?

First rough. The major zombie was supposed to be a dictator like character. Might change the generic shirt to an army jacket of some kind that reflects leadership. Also, the zombies on the bridge are huge in comparison to the architecture. I like them though, so I'll just have to accept it. Lemme know what ya think.

My idea is prop posters for villans, trying to help them avoid stereotypical evildoer mistakes.
Need to pick which of these three to follow through with

invinciblewombat: i really like the idea, but i think you need to change the wording a bit, at the moment its looking more like a ligitimate government health awareness poster rather than actual propaganda. Over exaggerate the truth a little, instead of 'one bite' instead use 'one touch'. or even 'if you have come in contact with infected' instead use 'if you have been near any infected'. Even though this is an illustration project, when it comes to propaganda, i think it's the wording that takes priority here.

Also wombat I really do hope you create a "tear" effect with the middle of the poster. That would be so fantastic!
