Those latest studies are great, sorry, nothing constructive from
my side at the moment. Just encouragement.

THanks everybody! And your encouragement's always appreciated StarEater.

Maisie: yep wtf is what they are ;D. I actually do more traditional drawings right now than digital. I got this huge stack of filled sketchbooks and like 400s pages of print paper(well, I bought a thousand so that's 500 something more to fill up) just eating away my space. Oh well, I think I'll photograph some later when my comp got fixed. Still drawing on the tablet is impossible though, can't get any good lines at all. Hmmm.. anyway, I'll post a photo of the poop stacks later.

So my most beloved laptop just completely crashed and refused to start when I was having a video chat with Ben, one of my former comrades-in-arms at school. And my mom's computer froze and BlueScreenOfDeathed as well when I was trying to resume the conversation. So yeah, the very painful effect of being struck by the unique voice and likeness of the Techno-Antichrist.

(I think it has more to do with the video cam driver being buggy THB)

And now, I have absolutely no way to actually fixing it 'cept for sending for hard drive repairs, and I might lose the 700 GBs of stuff and the hundreds of hours and dollars I put into collecting them. And the music, the tutorials my friends gave me, all the stuff I payed for, all the movies, the 200 gigs of reference pictures, all the photos of my cherished memories, and most importantly, all my old art 'n stuff....

And I'm going on a trip to Shanghai tomorrow which I have no way of canceling. And that goes all my plans for digital painting along the way. And I'll have to be forced to be torn from my most vital body part(I mean, my laptop) for 2 bloody fucking painful and hellish weeks.

Well, and I just couldn't be more upset right now.

Dont worry too much about losing stuff on the hard disc, mine break once a year with no back up s and they always manage to pull everything off, total cost about £100 including a new disc and a complte replica of your old OS and documents. So dont sweat that. They will of course look through all your porn, but theyre compute nerds, the stuff on their hard discs would curl your hair, so dont sweat that either.
Also, youd be amazed if it is gone how quickly you mourn the loss, cut it off and move on with new better work.

Your comment made me laugh a lot. You know Chuck Norris has never actually seen an explosion? Its true, hes always walking away like a boss.

Great paints! All I can say is keep up the good work
But don't be too discouraged by your computer problems, it really sucks when something like that happens but sometimes it might be a good thing to cut the navel cord between you and your laptop and enjoy your holiday. After a break you'll probably have tons of energy for a fresh start

@VK, hahaha, they can look at all the porn if they want, nothing too strange there. Yep, moving on is the way to go.

And yes, Chuck Norris is a cool guy, and cool guys don't look at mothafucking explosions.

@Lav, thank you very much. And well, I didn't enjoy the vacation but I did get tons of energy from it. Onward to, well, more drawings.

    @NakedZergling, thank you.

Well, I still haven't fixed my harddrive yet, but at least I'm back from the trip.

The whole trip is probably the most miserable 10 days I've ever spent in my life. We drove around half of the country and, there's just nothing worth seeing, and all the major tourist spots are hideous as hell. Well, at least I'm not paying for the seven thousand dollars it cost.

So yeah, with how horrible everything was, I made lots of drawings. Quite a lot of these were done while driving around terrible mountain roads, so the lines got really crappy sometimes. But oh well, at least I'm satisfied with the amount. And yeah, got a hell lot better at drawing people with clothing, cars, animals and buildings.

So happy I brought along my Ken Hultgren animal book, and the Michael Hampton figure drawing book. Copying from them was quite fun.

Nice colours on your digitals dude, I dig those ones specially, and the doodles in the car were quite cool too ( especially the ones in wich you draw what you see from the car). If there's any advice from me , would be to export the very nice gestural stuff you do in the little sketches to the bigger ones, cause there's a bit of lack of confidence in the bigger drawings, if you try to be gestural there too, and combine that with hat you already know things are gonna be sweet for real. I'd also put more contrast into most the stuff, apart from that everything looks pretty decent man. Quite entertaining to travel throught your SB, cheers! ;D

Wow man, love the sketchbook! It's been a great use of 20 minutes or so, and I'm really happy I looked at it. You draw so much man! I wish I could draw so much, but school and stuff taking up 35 hours of my week and then like 8 hours of homework and studying really limit me to evenings and weekends!

    For IOW

And I tried using RGB sliders and I fucking loved it!

It just gives so much insight into how color really works in terms of light, as opposed in terms of paint qualities like hue and saturation. It's so much easier to get vibrant colors with RGB. It might seem confusing at first, but trust me, it's way easier to see variations in terms of different components of light rather than hue and saturation.

So here's a rather stylized version of Hillary Clinton.

really nice work. lots of it
after looking at the mouse study, id say sometimes its good to just to back to practicing basic shapes in perspective. the mouse proportions might be a little off, though the rendering is good

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I've been doing very few digital paintings recently, so I didn't update at all. Maybe sometime I'll take out my digi cam again and upload all the traditional drawings I've been doing.

@aks9:Yeah, you're totally right. I really need to get more practice with perspective, I have no idea how it works really. Thanks for the crit.

@Nicky:Hahaha, man, thanks a ton. That's funny as hell!
