Thank you very much, all of you for your kind words.
I have been pretty depressed lately and seeing this thread come back is a really pleasant surprise.
    Definitely cheered me up.
I understand that I am what you would call a "niche artist" (when it comes to my personal stuff) and I always thought there is a very limited group of people to whom my art could appeal, because it does not follow any current trends or popular topics, but is rather a random product of my ability and whatever crosses my mind when I pick the pen and have some time to spare.
I am not used to this many comments nor those stars, and so, thank you all for that.
here is latest couple of bits of my spare time squiggling.
First one is a take on Family guy but I think that the show itself pushed things deeper and further into silly depravity than I could ever allow my art to go
(well not true completely but that is how I feel at the moment.
Second image is a silly sketch I decided to do for my blog header, and possibly use as a back cover of a sketch book I am yet to do.

    Thank you all again,

    Kind regards,

    Milenko

I search for good artists almost daily. This, was a surprise. I love the style, the angles, perspective and most of all the characters. I find them interesting with so much emotion. Fantastic.

The one with the tigers and wild woman is my fav.

    Thanks man
As for the book, depends on which one are you asking about
I am finally free enough and have gone through a lot of folders and did a lot of picking and choosing, so I think I finally have enough stuff I am reasonably happy with.
So the plan as it is now is to do 2 sketchbooks, one solely dedicated to the girly, sexy and fairly erotic stuff, I think I have enough to fill about 80-100 pages.
I will print that one at about A3 size (slightly smaller), so the artwork is displayed big enough to be viewed as it should be.
Second one is all about various personal projects and random sketches from cartooney through to Fantasy and sci fi.
That one will be at about A4 size and again, probably fill between 80 and 100 pages.
A friend here who runs printing business offered to print it for me at the cost and I intend to do about 250 copies of each book.
I will see if I can get a decent price on posters as I have a few pieces that would best be displayed at A1 size (like that floating pirate ship poster), not sure how much interest there would be for one of those, and printing them is expensive as hell.
I might think about an option to break big images into segments and then print them on separate pages which can be put together into a large poster.
And published as a part of the sketchbook.
Another one I am working on at the moment is an adult (xxx) storybook, with story on the left hand page and then illustration for that page on the right side, it is a cheeky story about 50's gullable housewife and her elderly next door neighbor trying to get into her pants
    (see the rough image below)
Aaand last bit I am doing is a series of themed t-shirt designs (always wanted to do one of those) with limited print run.
We'll see how I go and if I run out of the steam before I get any or all of these done

Cheers man and thanks for the words,

    Regards,

    Milenko

    @Ben,
thanks for the kind words, As soon as I get the books done, I will make sure I get you a special one
    @nevermindjoker,
first of all thanks, it is a great compliment because I enjoy Papaninja's stuff greatly.
However, I started doing these paintings of mine many years ago and only discovered Serge's work last year.
Another thing is that, for him, his pin up works are his main occupation and he has developed an awesome rendering style as well as investing great deal of his time in detail and polish of his pieces. Also he is really good at getting the likeness of the models he uses as a reference and over all he took his skill into this perfect zone.
As for my works, they were never my bread and butter. They started and still are an exercise practice and I only work on one of these for a few hours ( I have pretty mighty ADD when I do my own stuff and rarely finish anything) and for each one I am happy to share there is a few that I gave up on because I got bored half way through, did not do them fast enough to retain interest or they just turned plain ugly. Also, I very rarely get any kind of likeness and tend to change anything I do not like in the reference image and turn it into something that I find appealing.
Proportion wise, neither myself nor Serge have invented these proportions they have been around for ages only in different type of medium (line drawings animation design etc going all the way back to Betty Boop and more recently to Bruce Timm and Shane Glines works). We are just playing with those and mixing them with the reference (Serge with much more success than myself) and having fun I guess.
Thank you again for the compliment,

    Cheers

    Milenko

I love paintings who have the ability to put a smile on my face in a bad morning.
All the shapes come into place, everything fits, it's all working out really well. Love these and i will definitely come back for more.

One suggestion [it's not a critique by any means] - if you're bored sometimes try playing with some heavy saturation, try out a few paints with big fat cartoon saturated colors and strong contrast, they might turn out to be really fun to do while they still abide to your style.

    Great work mate!
