hey braineater, your sb looks great! im from germany too and almost your age, so i'm a bit jealous, haha. i really like your studies, you should do more landscapes and use your landscape skills to use backgrounds more often in your pictures!
    weiter so :'D

hey, thanks a lot for stopping by ! yea i also noticed that i didn't really draw lots of landscapes lately but that's why i thought it could be useful to give it some more tries. but i have to say that i'm probably the last person you could be jealous of when it comes to drawing.

I actually felt the way Vilppu teaches was not as technical as hampton because he does not really go through the anatomy in geometrical forms and he makes you start really really simple which is to master the cube , he also puts emphasis on doing tons and tons of gestures and he even states that in his classes he makes his students do six hours of gestures every class.

i'll be away for a whole week from now on (holiday with my family)
but (!) i finally found the pdf of vilppu's drawing manual and i will hopefully use it there
i also already browsed a little in this book and you're right, he teaches the basic forms more than hampton. guess i will practice that til i've got a better feeling for those basics.
    see ya

I saw some of your museum photos, and I have to tell that you went through some divine moments
in Amsterdam. Your power and force got boosted up, your mental subliminal aura got the double
shield effect. You have two swords equipped on the front of your hud. I am so happy about
these happenings, I wish you a happy new year, lots of happiness and love. Your pose studies
got to another level, true emotional warmness is pouring out, from the pores of your every
pencil touch. Thank you for sharing and for caring, I will be around the rosebush, behind
the backyard shack, waiting for some more blockbuster epicness.

I definitely see an improvement in your poses, they seem to have a bit more gravity to them. :>
And those watercolors are looking nice! I hope you're feeling better this week, Braineater!

I C improvement too! I can feel more depth with your poses. For perspective try to be more patient with your studies and I suggest you check out the basic drawing dvd by scott robertson it is pretty awesome and I find that he helps you make the transition from ruler to freehand perspective.

Hey, mate. Nice seeing you're still keeping up that mix of reffed and unreffed figures and faces. I always thought switching between those two states helps you retain information as well as figure which parts you still need work on.
Speaking of work, it looks to me like there's already an improvement in the facial proportions of your non-reffed faces.
    Keep up the good work!

Try to give the leg bones a little more curve, the femur, tibia, and fibula has a natural curve so try not drawing them too stiff or straight

yea, i pretty much suck at legs (or anatomy in general). especially in those quick-scribbles i don't really pay attention to this
    however, thanks for the advice.
