Hi !

I'm starting a sketchbook where I'll post everything I'm doing since I'm back in drawing (since January). I'm going to attend an ArtSchool in september 2013 but I want to work as much as I can to improve myself...

Your critics, advices and comments are welcome!!

This is my very very first painting, made with gouache.. pretty ugly ^^

This one is wrong for the proportions but my main aim was to understand how muscles are put together

not bad for the first digital painting =) but try to use less lines. Painting is more about shapes. And lines are not the best way to achieve textures. But it's really ok for a beginner. Over things will come with the time.

A new try on photoshop with a bird, I'm not quite happy with it :s and a nude sketch, it was nice for shading training but I hate his "dumbface" ^^

A new try at acrylic, I'm not satisfied of the result, I didn't work following a kind of "process" I've worked a bit in a chaotic way :s I hope to make something better with my second hippo that I'll do this afternoon =)

Some 30sc sketches, it was really hard because I hadn't done something like that since a long time; I had to re-learn not to construct ^^ I'll practice it as a daily exercise I think...

Hi, good start on your sb! I like those hippos, and the still images are also nice!
I see you’re working on the body sketches. I myself is struggling with it and it’ll take many hours getting those lines in order, I tell you! But it’s definitely possible!
It’s nice to see the variety of your work.

Hey! Thank you ! It is true that it's quite hard to achieve making good lined sketches... But by practicing we'll achieve it ! =D

Here are some sketches : My very first landscape sketch on photoshop (approximately 10min), it's very bad but I'm working on a new one that I'll detail more, and I'm starting to learn more about brushes =)

After there are some sketches made in a café, I'm absolutely not happy with this stuff, I'll have to practice it a lot!
And then there are 2 new pages of 30sc sketches, again done with lovecastle.org ...

A bad landscape sketch, so I was so frustrated not to achieve to do something finished on photoshop that I decided to make some still life : the wacome little guy ! ^^

a gouache study... I absolutely don't know how gouache's working and how to process, if anybody could give me some advices, or some techniques process, it would be very welcomed =)
