Thanks, guys! I can't decide which is better: Green or Blue? I liked the gray-green at first as it looked more moody, but I'm not sure anymore. The blue really pops, but is that good? More snow or less snow? Does more snow make it look too busy? Help me out.

I love it, We need to see more Conan here on this site and everywhere else! I like the blue one as yes, it does POP more. Otherwise, I think you should leave it. There is such a thing as overworking a piece and it looks great!

Mmmm... My favourite barbarian in all his glory, you've done an outstanding job, love it .

You've given yourself a hard choice there regarding blue and green, now how about making it harder by blending the two, main ting blues around Conans face and upper areas Nd green down through the snow and horizon? Just a thought to complicate matters

Sorry I can't suggest one or other they both have vast merits.

You entry was better, I would not have voted for the winner. I know I sounds like sour grapes but yours really is a better piece on every level. Still, it makes a nice portfolio piece!

Well quite honestly I'm astounded. Id suggest maybe you didnt fulfil some small aspect of brief maybe? Size, aspect etc? Other than that all I can say is that Darkhorse aren't realy renowned for good art and interesting narratives. Also not wanting to sound sourgrapey, but yours realy was head and shoulders above the winner in every way, colour, composition, impact, mood, execution and ANATOMY.

Oh right just read the whole thing, I short I'd say you were too good to win, as they want to print it in the inside cover of the comic and it would outshine their own artwork and that would not do at all. I'd suggest you enter pro comps, fine art and the like to have a better chance of winning

Don't be downhearted, you did one of your; and my hero proud, how about some Tarzan and a John Carter and a decent canvas print I can buy of each ?
