Another ArtOrder entry- update please crit

Well yet another ArtOrder participant here looking for help! There's a lot of CA people popping up over there- it's very cool! This is Lyssa, and as you may have seen from other posts the brief is that she is a young human female wizard with black hair who wears white with gold. This is my take-

I keep fiddling with the anatomy. The pose is pretty simple (especially compared to the rest of the awesome stuff over there) so I really wanted to get it right. Here's two versions- although they are very similar, just a slight difference in her pose- I can't decide which is better (or if they both suck). I would appreciate any help and advice!

Aside from the changes on her left forearm I don't quite see the difference between these two, but that said I like the one on the bottom more. The foreshortening with her wrist looks a little better there.

Thats some awsome art you have there. I would get rid of the glowing hands. Shes not really doing anything with them so it doesn't add to the whole picture.

Cool detail on the background and outfit! Do you have any suggestions for books/resources for design and outfit details of this Indian/Persian style?

i agree with agentman, the piece looks pretty solid, but the glowing hands don't add much, the one thing you could do, since you allready suggest movement with your gesture of the hands, you could have the glow follow the movement of the hands, but overall i like it, colors are nice and soft, and the design works well.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I went ahead and got rid of the glowing hands- also made a few other tweaks based off crits from people on the wipnation site. Think I might be ready to call it done...

revboyjames: I just did some google searches for ref. I actually started by looking up images of belly dancers and their costumes- really cool stuff!
