    Black Hole Sun {SKETCHBOOK}

k! EDIT: I am a second year student in Illustration, I'm 19 but I don't feel it! I am trying to find my way in my work. Thank you for all the support so far
A few things about me since this is on the first page: my favourite artists are Dali, Yoshitaka Amano, Tite Kubo. I love dreamy worlds, making up silly and frightening animals, oh and men

nice first post - I love the bird stuff. I had a brief fascination with birds a little while ago, this makes me want to pick it up again. It's fun how much variation there is among them.

I will upload some things from my sketchbooks if I think they're good enough to show you here
That's silly- upload everything. The more of your work people have a chance to see, the better tuned in our advice can be.

Now then, I think I have to go draw birds now.
    Happy sketching

Most of these are drawings from two weeks ago, I thought I'd add them to what I put up earlier

Yes I really am a little peeved I let my CA sketchbook gather dust already, however a few of the pictures I've drawn recently should breathe life into it

    Talking Update 29/30/12

It has been so long since I uploaded here, I admit I've really missed looking at people's sketchbooks here~Name: The tyrant princess.jpg

I will be scanning the beginning of one of my real sketchbooks very soon, but these were sitting on my desktop for some time.

The tyrant princess (evil looking young lady with the horns) is part of a story I have been trying to write, this was drawn with inks.
The Jaguar with a scorpions tail has been popping up in my sketchbooks for a while, so he got a digital-do with a moon brush I made, nothing specail just playing around.

The dragon is the Halloween piece, I still think it has a creepy face so I drew it on the Artgrounds Halloween board, the elephant was just from my head, I like how it came out

The birds in the first post are just fantastic!
The rest of the stuff is very good as well -though I'd suggest that you work on the values (do some greyscape paintings) 'cause the images lack a clear light source and clear shadow, which takes a lot away from the energy the sketches have.
Please take a look at my Sketchbook! <- Comments are highly appreciated and returned C:

    Fighter Fish

    Just some ramble...!

Some stuff I worked on today, the fighting fish with the pearl is coming up in doodle a lot, I;m really considering getting a small tattoo of him when I graduate, I'm a Pisces and the symbol of two fish always struggling really represents life. I have been planning (vaguely) the first guy with the horns is a character I've named Magnum, mostly because of his role in the story but also I have had those ice lollies before XD They;re way too big, magnum's are also a type of gun...
I hope there's more of my story/storyboards once I've finished some more work. I will say that Magnum is an alien :3
Lastly another fanart from bleach As much as I try stay away I can't fully do so.
I've started a fashion sketchbook out of curiosity, I'll scan them as soon as I can fix my scanner

    Now I have really babbled, haven't I? Name: magnumandpissedshiro.jpg

    The Scarecrow, crow killer

I have a new story I want to work on when I have the time, it's all about a village, a 16 year old witch and the god of crows. The scarecrow is the central character, he's inspired by Axl Rose and various folklore. So I have a few sketches towards all this I'd like to share
Oh and I haven't forgotten the plot bunny from my other story either! Too many ideas...

First I'll show the stuff I've done on the side and is sorta unrelated, the pink swan was for valentines day

And to the story: so much fun:3 I just need to get better at painting digital, for some reason I can't take in how it works, more studies are needed.

I like that skull a lot, and that eagle in your first post. You seem to be really good at animals.

    UPDATE 26/04/12

I had the pleasure of watching the new Oz film with the family, since then I'd wanted to draw the little china girl, <she's so adorable!>
    I used a reference: http://mediad.publicbroadcasting.net...Wizard0003.jpg

I want to build my confidence in photoshop/digital painting and I seem to struggle with it, my goal over summer is to improve.

My goal was not so much copy the image exactly but to get the feel of material and colour right. I kept making her eyes quite bright too
