strong work as usual. Maybe do some drapery studies as it can look a bit stiff in your work and will def give your painting more life.
Velocity Kendall: Thank you kindly! Hmmm I need to improve at all areas...
ja1307: Thank you. I suppose I should...
Another crap for my last assignment.

Fraener, the Great Imperial Dragon from my story.
Almost finished...

I'm surprised your sketchbook doesn't have more comment or critiques. It's always nice to see what people have to say about the work you put in.
I think you should maybe put some more focus on your focal points of your images.
keep at it and keep posting

Jamie Romoser: Well, I've got used to posting to myself, so it's okay. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind!
Finished Fraener..

Fraener made me think of suggesting checking out James Gurney for what he has to say about creating maquettes to help with simulating lighting.

Some updates.

It's great to see the progress in your works. The texture you're slowly adding and building up to is great. I always think of digital art as a layer building process and your work reflects that hugely so well done for that.
I can see the armor is particularly improving as is the atmosphere you seem to be trying to achieve in each of your very dramatic and ambitious works (which is great, you appear to be afraid of nothing).
Keep practicing and keep looking at others work to help inspire you and give you more ideas to improve your own work, perhaps look at colours? You use lots of colours in some of your works, not a bad thing at all but when I look at pros work I think the secret is in the colour sometimes, that's what really gives it that atmosphere? Just an idea that you're welcome to ignore
Thanks for posting!
KateyParr: Thank you kindly for the comment. Yes, I suppose. Thanks for the advice.
