Being slow
Being slow
no ref this time D;
Nuh ref. It´s a bit boring, i know, right : D
your environments look great! lovely sense of depth
thing I'd pick on is edge control with your portraits, some of those edges overall are wayy too soft, like you're afraid of making a distinct edge. Maybe take a little bit from your environments, which have great defined edges and apply it more to your portraits
great job so far though! keep it up
oh and are you using the blur tool or something?how to get such soft transitions?
Colors are awesome..yes.. And other are good too of course)
Hey ho!
I just wondered where the girls are Ô.o

Master Study from one of John William Godwards painting. Focusing on Light and Color.
loving the last one dude!![]()
Hi there ;D
A lot of really good stuff in here.
Your color sense has improved a lot, the master study looks great!
You tend to use too much black, though. Try to include more medium range values.
Weiter so![]()
Thanks for the advice guys. : )
Had a lot of fun with the research for the cow this week. But lost interest in the painting fast and rushed it a little bit. Looking forward to the next cow!
Hello, long time no see. After a small break, hopefully I will be able to upload some digital exercises again : )
Here is a material study(source: FF13- Prada). Painted over pre-processed lines of the actual image.

Texture study. Painted over pre-processed lines of actual painting. Low-res references are no fun : (

Guess the influence? (: Im not happy with the grainy textures. Will do better next time, hopefully.

Really had a thorough look at your SB and loved what I saw. I also recommend studying gesture drawing to improve your ability to draw the human form from your imagination. I recommend the following teachers: Glenn Vilippu, Michael Hampton and Mike Matessi. Awesome so far. Keep postin!
