Did some more work on my personal redesign of Robocop. This time I did another variation of Robocop which spawned an OCP Swat suit design

Cool design, although RoboCop seems a little stiff.
I really like the top one![]()
That's Murphy's son! The same thing happened: he became a cop in 2035, was gunned down and brought back with new technology.![]()
Nicely done, but I think you should keep the exposed mouth so he doesn't look like an actual robot.
I see you got some Crysis elements in it.

Honestly I think the original suit design still holds up.
Having said that, your design is decent, but I don't like chest piece, it looks too small, and the open mouth is better.
Nice redesigns! I thinks its pretty cool to take a creative spin on something you like but never created just to see how it looks in your own mind.
Though I do concur with the above statement that the original suit design does still hold up. I see this design here and though cool, it looks more generic, as in multiple cyborgs would have the design. I think you need something a little more singular that would be definantly more RC.
nice it's has lots of elements in it mayby you did'nt do this intentionally but i see a bit of crysis and tron in it but anyway nice job
Every critique helps me to get on step closer towards my dream so feel free to

cool design, but I feel like I've seen this in so many other movies/games. Two points regarding redesigning RC.
-How would you tell this guy's actually a cyborg, not a sexy model in sci-fi armor suit?
-RC is a cop. The current design doesn't define that clearly. He can be super cool assassin for example...
very nice work though. the swat version is interesting...I can imagine a team of RC wearing that.
I agree, the design actually feels like the next step in the Robocop design, where Robocop was the Alpha phase of the project and this new design feels more like the mass produced version, the final end product of the project. I see some iRobot influence in the mechanics as well.
It feels more SWAT then COP though, almost a little too tactical. Remember that cops are also supposed to look approachable by civilians.![]()
synthetic muscels are cool. but try another grid model. its to similar with the nanosuit designlanguage.you can find more synthmuscels in i robot and mass effect.or delete them.it helbs to. and you can use synth muscels for a new project. and try a blue version. after that i think you have design a very cool new robocop ;D
I love your technical ability, but the designs don't do it for me, they seem to be very generic. Also, am I the only one to pick up on the following functionality issues? His crotch area seems to be connected to the inner thigh, how does he move his legs? And what part of law upholding does the spike in his hand help with? Also, glowing bits aren't very tactical, especially if you are in a SWAT team. What worked about the original RC design is that it was simple, functional and looked good. This one is complex, not very functional and looks too shiny and clean. On the other hand I absolutely love the detail and the rendering. And massive kudos on the courage to redesign such an iconic design!
EDIT: Just occured to me, the visor looks a lot like the Cylon visor in Battlestar Galactica.
Blog - Check it out. It's fun.
Sketchbook - I should really update more often.
Portfolio - The most fun of them all.
It's a cool design Jason but there are some perspective mistakes here and there and those with the slick design have made your subject not heavy enough. That's why people is not liking it
I would like to talk about your job one of this days, send me a pm if you've the time.
