Couple of pencil drawings I need to finish, can't get the darks dark enough with the pencil though without damaging the paper

Man, you're showing a lot of improvement in just 8 months. I like how you're focusing on black and white values as well, something I try to do more of myself.

The pencil drawings are looking good as well.

bish0p2004- Thx so much man, it really means a lot, and yep, only gonna work in b/w for now. Plus, I'm slightly colour blind lol, but I've saw artists do great colour stuff who are so that shouldn't matter .

Heres an illustration I have to do, the big blobby things represent the other character portraits just put them there to show the overall compositional shape. I think it really sucks so far and it's really beginning to stress me out so any tips or advice would be great thx

Perspective drawing from today, pretty much a study. Gonna work on some other drawings now though and probably finish this another time, but I probably won't be able to upload for another few days because I'll be busy with other work

Update- Little update on the perspective thing, metal still life fail, and lots of anatomy sketches, still don't know how all the muscles in the arm are layered exactly lol.

Just some fundamental stuff from today, bit boring but learned some stuff

You have wrote a tome of success with your sketchbook for this year, just
looking back from the first page till now, the improvements and the evolution
is amazing. The field that you have most improved is the 3D subjects, the
understanding of certain objects and buildings, I admire how you handle
some of the modern 3D software, like Maya or Zbrush. However I think
that you are still a bit behind with your portraits and your regular pencil designs.
So you should focus more on traditional pencils in matter to improve in digital
also, but a lot of them said this already most probably. Before you start to render
any of your portraits, make sure that the proportions are right, the eyes nose mouth
and so on. Cause If you render out perfectly a badly drawn thing, it will still look
wrong and wonky. In the end, don’t get discouraged by anything, no matter what
happens, you think positively and keep drawing and painting. Improvements
will come on a natural path, but you already know that. So be good,
and draw more, till our next meeting, keep the candles burning.

Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! There's some awesome progress here, I especially like your pencilwork. But something I would recommend that you take a look at is the edges in your digital stuff.
