I've been around here for some time, looking at sketchbook and art and, after a litle time I thought I could give it a try too!

So here I am!

About myself, My name is Michael Guimont AKA wavenwater, just turned 20!
I will atempt to go to an animation school next year!
As a beginer in art, I would like to become a pin up artist and a good animator / concept artist!

Were at the begining of a BIG sketchbook here, because I haven't got much school this session, so, I have more time to do what I like the most, DRAW!

I now remember why I hated my scanner XD!

Peipei Thanks a lot for the kind words ^^! In fact, at my first post, I showed what I'm actually capable of, with a bit of time hehe! I'm gonna work hard, but don't worry, more advanced stuff will be shown here, when I'll do some! Right now, I gotta practice with ref and colors ^^ Seee you soon my friend!


Following the planning, I worked a bit on Drawing from references! I worked on hands, arms composition and Female body. I will probably work on colors and environment soon!

Hey Hi again people!

Today was quite a day for me!
I just sent my demand for university in Science and art of animation (like a sir)
Haha, but, I've got to got to the BOOZE
and so, i'm out of time to describe everything about today's session of drawing , so i'll just put this this way, made some sketch, some studies and doodles

HOLY FUCK I've been writing a really nice and sweet message about my day and what i've been doing, but internet crashed and my post was not succesful T_T

Anyway here's the short version , I woke up late, did some studies got a headhache and worked on other stuff!

Blending practice, I really like the airbrush tool otherwise!


SOmething different (BTW I love the P90 gun the desing is so cool!)

Hey wassup everybody!
Seriously, what an incredible day today! The snow was fluffy and sticky, I had a great time with my family! Also, I,ve been working primarly on sketches and studies!

Decided that I would be more carefull with the time I spend doing things I think i'm wasting too much time on stupid things like videogames and FB Twit etc.
Gotta work on this! Algenpfleger motivated me a lot on this aspect ^^!
Also,I gotta do more personal drawing! even tho, studies are really so much ultra helpful!

So, let's coninue working on this, here's today's stuff!

I really am having a hard time when it comes to color belly and light source on photoshop, so I thaught a little bit of traditional might help ^^

Hey, Hi people!

I'm back yet an other time !

r zanchetin Thank you a lot man every comment is really appreciated ^^! Your work is awesome too! greag but really amazing sketching skills

Now, You might want to know What the heck Have I been doing these last 2 days O.o Well, it snowed a lot in qc, I had to work and plus, I still have 2 days of school per week where it is a bit hard to get some drawing done I had to make a web desing for surfergirl Sally Fitzgibbons! Really nice cute girl, I you like surf bikinis, you sure don't want to miss her!

And on the other hand, I had to work some things in after effects! I have uploaded my tryout at 3d layer composing, mate painting and basic animation

For the rest, I couldn't get my work done in class, because I HATE using my wacom intuos 4 medium, I'm too used to cintiq XD

Hey, good once again people of conceptart.org!

What a nice day today!
I've been starting to work on on 30 sec poses this morning, and, oh my god, what a good thing to do before drawing, this really starts the machine
Also, I've been doing some basin muscle studies from andrew loomis's book and also studied Gil elvgren pin ups

BUt, something awesome, Phososhop cs6 beta is nowmine, and it's really cool ^^
some little bugs and, my Magic picker plugin doesn't work on it, but it's still nice, so, here's today's work, I know it's not much, But I gotta go to work!

Yeeeeaaaah! That be a fine still life, I enjoyed it too! And you're a fine penciler as well, just don't forget to change the line's size and strength to create some depth on your studies. Keep it up! Cheers.

See, I know I am not the only one in this situation, but, there are these days where.. you just suck at what you do XD
So yeah, that's pretty much it, today's day was shitty for my drawing even tho I drew all day long XD My problem is that once i'm not satisfied with a drawing, I have this little tendency to hit that cute button named "DELETE" :p haha! so yeah, today's shitty work XD

Lets' hope tommorow will be better!

As usual, I started with my 30 seconds drawing and then went on with pencil sketches, (btw, I spend way too much time on those, gotta work faster !)

There is a scan missing, had a problem and I feel lazy XD




Now, let's skip to digital art! I felt very inspired and creative today! sadly, my hand didn't felt that way too and betrayed me, so I did some studies I guess!

So, today was nothing special really much, I tried to work out with skin tone in B&W was a bit hard, didn't get exactly what I wanted, will continue to work on this! I would really like to get to make some stuff alike Jace wallace blending way, will continue to work hard on this! also, I need to gain speed in hand sketching !

Also, don't you also feel really stressed by time? it's like, I want to produce sooo bad, it might actually be bad hmmm will think about that

Heyyy hi crazy people!

Now, I know that it's been 2 days since I last uploaded something, but don't forget that I still have desing class at school and i'm not the nid of person that likes to give a shitty work to its teacher, except if the project itself is pretty shitty so, I had to make animation in after effect and build up a website which is not an easy task Also, I gotta make money for university and stuff and so on, life is life and I wasn't able to draw the way I would have liked for the past 2 days O.o

That being said, let's move on

SO, today was quite borring in class, and I didn't have my stuff, yeah, I'm a silly badass student XD most of my teacher don't like me and so on, but I find this funny So yeah, I had nothing to do, so I started working on some stdies and 30 sec poses!

At home tonight, was going to study light, but my family came in and made it impossible, so here's today's work, hope you enjoy ^^!

I'm sorry for skipping a day, but I was at the hospital during most of yesterday and a part of today!
For those of you that are wondering what I had, I had a kidney stone, let me tell you that this shit hurts like hell!

Great improvement, didn't notice your line strokes were amazing.

Well... about the Crow Girl, i'll let you know when its done and maybe start my own sketchbook soon (I don't have time right now).

By the way here is a Tip for your images : use the "Save for web" option in Photoshop (its has JPEG also) and this will help you to reduce the size, Don't worry you won't notice any difference with quality. I realized because I tried to browse your sketchbook using my Mobile Phone and it took ages to load each picture.

Haha hell yeah, people, i'm back on track, got an awfully loaded week -_- homeworks shit and over 30 hours of work at job result, not much done XD

MarckSH Thanks once again man! I really think that my linework could need some improvment tho haha! and i'll check that about using web devices ANd don't forget to mention me when you'll have a sketchbook!

So, for these last few days, worked a lot on after effects and web desing for my class assignment! also I had to finish this shitty illustration that had to be done, I would have just throw this away XD! I really hate everything we do in desing class, not meant for this I guess
