more gestures,30 seconds each-
getting a little better at em, i think thick soft chalky pencils are better for gestures, at least for me.i like pixelovely gestures better than posemaniacs, better to draw real people than 3d models.

Very nice. I like your gesture and pose sketches too. That's something I need to do myself.
thanks chevy i realized i have to do a lot more of those so ive made it a goal to do em more recently, doing the spartan challenges and stuff

1 hour gesture class at pixelovely.com( going to do this everyday from now on)
gestures ranging from 30 seconds to 30 minutes(30 seconds,,5minute,11 minutes and one 30 minute).
-net time ill use a sharper pencil, this one was too dull for details on the longer drawings.

quick pen sketch from imagination just to apply the studies ive been doing.
not surprisingly doing the gestures and figure studies is helping me, i remember how certain forms and muscles look, better than just studying the anatomy books like i used to do.-i think i may do some more basic form gestures, using loomis construction methods(the stickfigure guy) just to get better at posing and weight also.

doodling in photoshop and ended up coming up with a new way of rendering
basically i never tried the digital aspects of photoshop like the smudge tool and ended up finding away to sculpt out forms with it, might be a new method for rendering.
(this is by no means proportioned or anatomically correct)

Hi man, how are you doing? Great work since my last post here. I like the studies you are doing. Keep practicing anatomy. The one thing that really helps me is drawing the skeleton parts. Find some references and try it.
thanks cojac! and i definately will im working on my construction at the moment ill post them in a sec.
material studies and some design sketches, all photoshop.think i got my new way of rendering down though more practice will help. got a few pages of constructive figures and perspective drawings that ill post when i can.

working on my construction, these are drawn from photo models, turning them into the most basic construction. later i want to draw these from a a reference picture and then turn them around and draw different views.
-going to focus more on perspective too and add foreshortening later.

Good progress going on in here! The perspective practice is great, those will help you see and draw objects in 3D easier.
Draw a few hundred of cubes with 1point, 2point and 3point perspective![]()
Thanks Flakspost sounds good I will start doing those today, thanks for the advice
