Woah, it has been a while. CA.org was acting a little funny lately on my side and I couldn't get access to it. Despite all that I glad I can finally post!

    Here comes the dumpage!

These first three images are a creature I have been working on. His name is Lung, and likes the occasional piece of dark chocolate.

It's been a while since I've been here and all I see is a lot of win!

Very cool updates. Lung turned out pretty well I'd say, although the textures in the side view shot start blur together in way where I can't really discern between the kinds of hair. What I mean by that is that I can detect at least 3 different kinds of hair: 1. the long back hair that makes of up most of its body, 2. the "underbelly hair" and then 3. the tiny hair folicles that populate its torso, neck, arms and parts of the head. These above mentioned "hair types" all feel the same when I think it'd be more appropriate to have 1 different texture for each (though not radically different) and then, once those are in place, take another texture brush (similar but different to the 3) and then go over it on another layer (perhaps with the opacity down a bit) to unify the textures.

I hope what I wrote makes sense.

Great work. Look forward to seeing more!

    Hey Mr.Pryminista!

I appreciate the critique and it totally makes sense! I'll keep that in mind the next time I draw this guy or for any future painting.

Anyways, Hello to everyone else and I am so happy I finally get to post this and actually post something from the vast amount of commissions I have been working on for the past few months. I was approached by Paizo Publishing to create this guy called the Nabusu. I had a lot of fun with this and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

Wow thank you all so very much, all your words really mean a lot.

@ insane lemur - First, your name is a amazing. Second, thank you very much!

@ llex_paul - Thanks llex! I don't have a video (which I should since everyone else is doing it, what's wrong with me!?) but I do have some process .gifs at this link: http://twodd.deviantart.com/gallery/32243035

I'll tell you upfront anyways since that link won't tell you directly, but most of my textures mostly come from actual textures, texture brushes, and a lot of itty bitty brush strokes.

    @ Classmate - Thanks classmate!

@ FROZ3N - Hah thank you very much! After I quit gaming it seems all my experience points are going towards my painting.

Anyways, I did this little guy the other night and thought I would share the line art before I attack him with color.

Hey everyone! I totally forgot to post this from last week, but here it is! I have this strange fondness for Silkie Chickens, and absolutely love to paint them. Well this study served more than just satisfying my inner desire to paint chickens (and ducks), it helped me understand lighting and form...Who the hell am I kidding I just love to paint chickens.

2 hour study in Photoshop, thank you all for looking and I hope you all enjoy!

Wow, your work is amazing. I'm completely blown away. I only intended to skim through quickly but I got caught up in all those amazing creatures and studies. I love your style, your work ethic and your attention to detail.

Absolutely no crits from me - I'm in no position to give any anyway. I'll just quietly subscribe and soak up the inspiration.

    Wow thank you everyone!

@ Candra H - Thanks a lot Candra for everything, the compliments and stopping by, hopefully I can keep you coming back with some nice new artwork

@ Mr.Pryminista - Hey Mr.Pryminista! Don't worry, there will be more, I love big fluff chicken things far too much to ever stop. Chicken and Skulls are my two, and strange, favorite things to draw and paint.

@ Overtoom - Thanks a lot Overtoom, I really do appreciate that!

@ jhonshadow - Thanks jhonshadow, and thanks for stopping by!

Anyways, now it is time for some art to end this week for me.

Somebody asked if I could give a closeup of my Floof Poof's face, so I thought it would be nice to share it to not only that one person, but everyone else! This is only 1/2 scale of the original, so the final is twice as big as this. That is the best way, I have found out, to get all those delicious nitty gritty details into any painting, drawing, and/or anything!

And here are more lines for another creature I drew back in December 2012. I have no idea why it took me so long to post it, but as long as I am posting it now that is all that matters!

Anyways, thank you all for looking and I hope you all enjoy!

Hey everyone! Sorry that is has been a while since my last post. I am pretty terrible at keeping my word when I say that I am going to keep posting stuff.

Well anyways, today I am able to actually post something. This something is something that I worked on a few months back for Kerberos Productions where this time I developed some illustrations for their species the Morrigi, a bird-like dragon with eight appendages (one pair of arms, two pairs of legs, and one pair of wings) and a snake-like body.

    Here they are!

    Kerberos Productions: Liir

Hi JDBI, I use a lot of different fur brushes and sometimes fur textures to try and get what I am looking for. I hope that helps (it probably didn't, I'm sorry :C).

For everyone else, hello again! Here are a few more illustrations that I did for Kerberos Productions. This time I did the Liir, a highly intelligent cetacean race that communicate via the tentacles on their face. These guys have a lot of back story, but I just stuck with the basics.

Hey everyone, here is a late Friday post in the sense that it's almost Saturday (for me), and I should have posted this little drawing way back on Monday when I first posted it on facebook and deviant art. Despite that, here is a little spawn from the Bravest Warriors. I have no idea what came over me, but this was the result. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnZdiR7YbN4

Hey everyone, here is a ton of stuff that I have completed lately.

First is some Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance sketches to warm me up for the day. A good way to stop me from playing the game for a third time (it's just too fun).

    Name: Raidenimg.jpg
Views: 211
Size: 275.1 KB
    Name: IMG.jpg
Views: 208
Size: 465.2 KB

    And then this:

Size: 445.0 KB
    Name: soon.jpg
Views: 205
Size: 195.8 KB

I honestly have no idea, it started out as such a simple idea and then turned into some chicken disco party with a murder in the middle. Funnily enough, I kind of like it, because originally it was supposed to be in some hen house, but I felt it needed a darker background to push the foreground out a bit. Then I used some textures, and some colors popped, and, well, here you have it!

For the evil looking one, he is supposed to be my Floof Poof (now named the Wugu). The Wugu kind of practices Brood parasitism like some species of Cuckoo. I still need iron out the details in that respect, but that might explain a little bit in what is actually happening (not really...)

Anyways, I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

Thanks for looking and I hope you all enjoy!

I just had a long look through your (relatively short but so incredibly impressive) sketchbook. I had to really stop at many of your works to take them in fully and I am completely taken away! You are so damn good! really loving your creatures. You put a lot of thought in their design and back them up with thorough studies which make them so much more believable. I really appreciate that. Can't believe I haven't seen your work before, but now I'm glad I have Hope to see more from you!

The Wugu-piece is impressive. There's a lot going on and it gets a bit confusing at times since the over-all value pattern is one huge white shape against a dark background. Wugu is unique enough to stick out and make me curious to what's going on, but I still feel he is lost in the over-all language of the shapes. Maybe play around some more with shapes around him? I'm thinking perhaps some castshadows at the eggs and another egg overlapping him or leaning against him casting a shadow on him. That would break up the symmetry of the huge white 'fluff' going on. Just thinking out loud other than that, nice work!

By the way, some of your black and white digitals have a strong traditional feel to them, as if they're pencil. It's something I've tried to paint myself bunt not succeeded in so far. I would really love to see you explain your technique a bit regarding those. I'm especially thinking of this one: http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/n...rt-d3j0kyt.jpg

Maybe I'm mistaken and it's a pencil scanned in that's then been digitally worked? anyhow, so much awesome in here!

Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice all these wonderful replies, thank you all so much very much!

@ dragonfly_24 - Thank you very much dragonfly_24, it's great to read that because I always strive to achieve that kind of realism. For how long I have been drawing, I have been doing it ever since I can remember (I have really some crappy drawn dinosaurs to prove it) , but I have really began to take it seriously about 5 years ago.

@ DefiledVisions - Yep, I totally agree with you, I was having a lot of trouble with that and in the end I suppose I was staring at it so long that it just started to look normal. Now looking at it does look like one big fluffy white blur. I'll try to fix it when I can, and I really do appreciate the critique! Now you want to know how I drew that one creature, it did start out as pencil and from what I remember I did do a little bit of a digital touch. It's been a while since I did that drawing, so my memory is kind of fuzzy on the exact process, can you provide a more recent work of mine that fits your question? I'll love to help you if my memory would allow it.

@ chevy28360 - Thank you very much chevy28360, means a lot that I am actually inspiring people

Now onto the art! Here are a few things I have posted lately on other sites, mainly Deviant Art and Facebook. First are some creature sketches, including some gestures for my creature the Wugu (The guy with the chickens posted above). I have plans to really start developing him and so this is the first step to a long process.

Thank you again everyone for the kind comments, and thank you all for looking. I hope you all have a great day!
