    Wow, some huge leaps in improvement on those last few posts. I especially like your sketchbook pages, your usage of value and shapes is very beautifully executed.

    Great Sketbook! very vibrant! Your line work has good quality, long and so energetic. Your life studies and film grabs sketches have the same vivacity, however I find that some other sketches (may be the ones out of imagination) are more static and lose a lot of these good stuff coming from your paintings (i.e post #29). Anyway thank you for sharing. Hope to see more of your art soon.

    @PHATandy: thanks alot!
    @Pigeonkill: i just start to lose the fear of using more color. so this is really encouraging. thanks!
    @CKLamb: thanks alot! it's always nice to hear that you are improving.
    @PS Zant: thanks!
    @patram: thanks! yeah i know. most of the time when i work completely from imagination i feel a little bit lost and then the outcome is pretty shitty. but i guess the only thing i can do is doing alot more studies....

    don't have alot of time since i have to learn alot for university right now....for about one month and then i will move to a new apartment. but i hope i can atleast do one or two quick studies each day.

    so here is a selfportrait....about 20-25min

    @f@ber: thanks alot!
    @Cameronator: thank you!

    first one is a quick sketch...just fooling around with brushes a bit more...and the second one is a little bit older. just found it again in the depth of my notebook and posting it because it was actually quite some fun doing it. i did it when my tablet didn't work...so i just did straight 1 pixel lines with my mouse. the flat areas just come by using the cutout filter on alot of lines

    Nice!
    The brush "experiments" turn out very good every time for just "experiments"!
    Your sense of form, as well as color are awesome.

    I would like to see more finished pieces from you.
    Nothing to critique.

    Keep it up dude!

    @Silwynar: thank you. i know i should practise to render something to finish too... i need to learn patience too

    something i might take further. i want record my steps i do to see at which stages in the process i struggle the most and then thought it won't be too bad to post the steps too. again trying to use as many brushes as possible just to get to know them...so i can perhaps decide in some weeks which brushes i will keep and which i don't like at all.
