    I like how your avatar seems to say "yeaaah, I know.. I'm the best" Which would be justified because those paintings are absolutely gorgeous. I command you to keep working so I can periodically renew inspiration.

    @TheDirtSyndicate: thank you!
    @Fungus: thanks! but no my avatar is not supposed to give that impression at all

    strange day....but anyway: a bad quicky from life, then a bad one from photo ( i think its noah bradley but not sure....i just have a folder with alot of faces where i can randomly take one if i want to do a study of a face)....and a sketch for a painting i had in mind but it's kinda boring so i won't do it if i can't find a more exciting way to do it.

    I really like your colour palette, skin tones are especially nice!
    For cases where you used some photo reference, how much of those tints come from sampling the original piece, if I can dare asking?

    The last 2 pieces are great!

    @siiilon: thanks! yeah i love climbing!
    @maolu: thanks and sorry if the following text is not readable....im not good in english:
    not sure if you mean color picking by sampling? (just not familiar enough with english) but the way i usually end up with my colors is that i start with very big block-ins and i think when i do studies it takes the most time, since this is the step where i am primaly looking for colors and if i can't find the right colors to get the job done i put in as many adjustment layers as it needs until i think i nailed it. and i think that's also something i shouldn't do because i always have the feeling that when i have to use too many adjustments to get something right i won't learn to do it right in the first place.
    a thing i also do sometimes when i have trouble finding a color is to put down a stroke of the color i think is right next to the color i want and then i can see how i have to change it... i started to do this after a few oil studies i made where i hold the brush with the paint next to the color i'm looking for (i think i got that tipp from one of william whitaker tutorials posted on conceptart). but as i said most of the time i use loooots of adjustments when i can't find colors im looking for.
    @sickbrush: thank you! i love your stream!
    @micahchampion:thank you! but its somehow funny that most of my stuff turns out creepy....i don't like creepy stuff, never watch horror movies (except for alien), hate splatter movies and so on
    @Cabbage Caterpillar: thank you!

    so....didn't have much time to paint. university keeps me busy. but the good thing is: the less i update, the less i paint, the more i worked and learned for university
    this one was done while watching a sergio leone movie...best director ever! love his close-ups and tried to do it the way he does...didn't work but i actually like it nonetheless.

    Hey mate, i'm really impressed buy the quality of your digital brush strokes...any suggestion on how to achieve that "paintiness"? Btw, are you using photoshop or painter?

    Great stuff, keep it up!

    Andrea Tarroni: thank you! i use photoshop. i don't know about the brushstrokes...i think i just do them the same way as in not digital stuff. don't know but perhaps it looks like this because i make the same steps as if i would paint traditional. perhaps it also helps to think of drawing while painting digital where stroke direction is such a nice thing

    and once again i tried to do a sketch with a soft brush... i just hate that one

    Ahhhhh! theses are all so good
    I really like your brush work and the use of Flash (like camera flash) lighting, it's kind of creepy-ish, which i like

    And i like the soft brush picture, the lost edges are beautiful

    xNatje:thank you! didn't know gerard richter before
    Hayden_Zammit:thanks alot!
    Caleb-Brown: thanks! at first i never liked that lightning... but i made a study with that lightning anyway, i had alot of fun doing it....since then i love that lightning
    Noomwolf:thank you! well i have no clue. i just keep mashing in brushes until i like it or it's too fucked up...i know not too helpfull....but i'm also reaaaally tired
    Madio:thank you! i only really use one most of the time and thats basically just a square brush with some textures. before i used that i used a default square brush which was actually enough i think but photoshop crashed sometimes when i used that brush which is way i switched to another square brush

    too late. did record doing this sketch. but when i wanted to watch the record vlc crashed....so not sure if the record is bugged or not. i will see tomorrow or so...don't know when i have time.
