    Jaunay - I dig the mayan theme!
    Pixeltuner - Gorgeous colors on the dress. Please make sure to break up the obvious mirroring on the pages for your final...
    NickyBeats - Very dramatic, love it. Don't forget to isolate your character from the background in your value pass. I'd suggest having him in shadow and the sky really bright or strong rimlight. Two sidelights with the coreshadow in the center of his face/body might look cool, too.

    @Nickybeats
    I really like the composition so far, but definitely would recommend a few detail touches in the background to keep it from looking too symmetrical. What time of day were you thinking for it?

    @JanJager
    That dude is hilariously wacky, I love it.

    @Pixeltuner
    I know the perspective line would make the city look very far in the background and low on the horizon but right now its almost a little too much. I have no feel of where your character is but she seems to be some kind og screaming giant. Just my two cents.

    @Tetrodotoxin
    I personally like #2 and #4 the best Definitely not the shorts. Who ever took a prophet seriously while wearing shorts?

    @Loengrin
    Love the manic expression, he looks like Teru Mikami from Deathnote. Any ideas on the background?

    Argh, must beat the deadline!!! I like my composition so far but I have so much left to do. Comments would be much appreciated.

    @Dread, looks like your central figures footing might be a bit treacherous.

    Background, right. I'll get right on that.

    Lol figures I would get that wrong. What are they supposed to be?

    Here's my progress. Still got so much to do! I really hate my buildings in the background. Miserable, lousy, awful buildings.

    Dread Reaper: Just burning debris, thrashcans or something like that. Still needs to be clarified. I added some texture the 'real' buildings and twisted the perspective a tiny bit to make things more clear as well.

    Alright so... I've been too lazy for my own good on this one so far, so I'm going to post my two different WIPs so far...

    Pixeltuner: Man, I even love the subtle detail of the pages on the book. I'm not sure if I could think of anything like that. I'll have to keep noodling. The environment looks very interesting as well. Keep it coming I can't wait to see the end result.

    Mat Kaminski: My first guess is that you should consider yourself a bit more with the basics of proportion and how to ground your figure properly in his surroundings before puzzeling yourself with issues like bookpages (which are a bible google search a bit warped and clonestamped in photoshop ) Think of what you want to portray and get some ref on a pose and pay close attention to anatomy and proportion. When you have that pose down you can noodle on it as much as you want with little storybits which will sell your character.

    I live in the bay area and see a lot of sketchy people. listening to the most sketchy of those people who talk to themselves is a trip.

    The prostitutes, homeless, and bat shit crazy people of San Francisco will always provide a bit of excitement while walking home drunk at 2:00am.

    If I ever decide to follow a Prophet, I hope I'm as crazy as he/she/it is.

    Bnoch: awesome entry once again, mate! I just wonder if your gonna submit it to the finals thread this time. It was such a shame your previous entries weren't submitted cuz they would've been easy winners!
