Design a Prophet of the end times

its 2012 and the days of apocalypse are nigh, and the streets are ablaze with chaos and panic. Terrible roar of thunder echoes with the words of madman preaching the words of god. Using his charisma and influence, he is gathering a great flock of blindly faithful people, willing to do his every bidding, in the name of god. Everyone unfaithful he condemns to be destroyed and sent to the eternal depths of hell.

Whether he is a prophet of false god(s) or a true preacher, it is up to you.

The Guidelines:

• its year 2012, keep that in mind
• keep in mind everything said in the brief and use it to convey your design
• Im keeping this round pretty open but that doesnt mean we want to see any half naked chicks

THE RULES
In addition to the brief, if you do not follow these rules, you will not be included in the poll.

• Files must be named: CHoW#274_Username 
(Files with any other names such as final.jpg or even chow274final.jpg will not be accepted)
• Finals must be posted in the finals thread BEFORE the deadline
• Final post must include the CHoW number and the artists username at the bottom of the image
• At least 3/4 of the focus character must be visible
• Final images must be accompanied with a basic character sheet in a separate image
Character sheets should at the very least show a sketch of the front and back of the character and a couple of early thumbnails/silhouettes.
• Follow the brief!

Pixeltuner: Nice expression! The speech bubble almost makes me which she actually put herself on fire, like a true fanatic. Maybe one of the followers does that.

8smoku8: Is he holding an Ipad, well that is sort of the god of today. He could have a bunch of hipsters as followers.

Nice topic and good work so far, will try to comment tomorrow. I did some sketches to warm up and explore some options. The mayan styled guys might need some more current century stuff. Dunno what direction I'll go yet.

I was thinking that a prophet of death and despair would be nothing short of brutal: a post-rapture punisher. And I don't think she's that sexy....

I am liking the progression. The flow definitely works with the composition. I really want to see how the details emerge and tell the story.

Its an interesting concept but its a little difficult to tell what it is really, aside from a guy who seems to be made of electronics. I think the concept is imaginative enough to be pushed further though.

So I am going for a charismatic pretty-boy, a former business man who took to the streets to preach about the End Times. Critiques on the design would be much appreciated, I am about to start the composition so I want to get that ironed out. Thanks!
